بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم

When this is our Haal with fire, which can only destroy our Dunyawi life, bring it to an end and not affect our Aakhirat.
Nabi e Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is saying;
These spiritual sicknesses are the destroyers. Not only are they surrounding your heart, but they are inside your heart. They are eating you up from within, but Oh, Insaan, Oh Insaan, there is no Pareshaani, worry, Fikr or concern.

We continue to live our lives without any concern. We continue to eat and sleep peacefully  without any concern while those destroyers are destroying us from within. The fire is destroying us from within. This fire is such that it is going to destroy our Aakhirat as well. Our Dunya and Aakhirat will be destroyed. There is no way out, yet we are not worried. We rather enjoy this life.

This is the example of Nafsani desires. They are burning us inside. The Fikr, concern should be there about how we can cure ourselves of these sicknesses and how we can clean ourselves from them. If the Fikr truly comes to a person, then at one o’clock at night, he will run out of his house. The way Nabi e Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said;
If you knew the Ahwaal of the Aakhirat, if you knew Qiyaamat, then you will run out in the jungle. ‌ ‌Fear and Fikr will come.
The Jazba of the Fikr and worry is not there.

We are not asking anyone to run out of his house at one o’clock at night.
All we are asking is the Fikr, worry and concern should come into us, myself and everyone to do something about these spiritual sicknesses.
From the outside, many people Mashaallah are following the Ahkaam of Allah, looking very pious, Tabee Shariat, but the inside is being eaten up because of these spiritual sicknesses and they are not aware. The complacency and contentment is present in them regarding them doing a lot for Deen.

For example, there is a very beautiful and sturdy shelf. It appears to be excellent. However, termites have entered the shelf and are eating it. The owner of the shelf has no idea. When guests come they admire the shelf; what a good and sturdy shelf.
When the owner notices signs of termites being present in the shelf, he ignores them. The termites continue to eat the shelf, making it hollow and weaker. Finally the shelf breaks and falls into pieces and perhaps powder.
The owner looks at it surprised, wondering what happened. Then he sees swarms of termites crawling about. He never knew termites were eating the shelf. It is too late, the shelf has been destroyed.

This is an example of spiritual sicknesses which are like termites.
Nabi e Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has also given the same example; like termites eating a person up from inside. From the outside we appear very good. It shouldn’t be a day comes the termites have eaten him such that the person becomes weak and falls. Then he will not be able to bear Ruswahi, disgrace in front of people.

The time is now.
We need to clean our hearts from the spiritual sicknesses. This is the entire spirit of Qurbani. This is the message of Qurbani.
