It was a few days before Kyle was allowed to move in to Bow's room; not that is was difficult, as it wasn't so much as moving, more along the lines of Kyle sleeping on a mattress in Bow's room. He hadn't brought any possessions, just himself. He hadn't had time. Didn't remind himself too either.
Kyle sat on the mattress as Bow rambled on about the rules of the room.
"...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, we don't leave the windows open during the night! Last time Adora did that, and we ended up sleeping on the floor while SwiftWind got the bed."
"Okay." Kyle nodded, knowing that all of Bow's words had gone through one ear and directly out the other.
Bow smiled and sat down next to him.
"Dude, I think I'm actually excited to have a new roomie. I mean, I like having a room to myself as much as the next guy, but now that I think about it..."
He stopped himself. Kyle looked over concerned, worried if he had done something wrong.
Suddenly, he was grabbed into a tight hold, Bow giving him a hug.
"I'm going to have a new best, FRIEND!"
Kyle stood there awkwardly as Bow pulled away, still holding on to his shoulders.
"Think of all the fun stuff we can do! We can make bracelets, we can paint, we can play games-"
Kyle watched him count off a list of activities on his fingers, Bow getting happier with every one. It was endearing. He already liked Bow, he seemed like a good change from the Fright Zone.
"It's going to be sick!" Bow laughed, and Kyle gave him the faintest of smiles. It might take a little time to get used to Bright Moon, but here, right now, Kyle felt at home.
He felt happy.
And that's when the door opened, and in walked Adora and Glimmer.
