The Gift

"Uh Bow?" Kyle yelled as he ran through the castle halls with Bow leading. "Where are we going!?"

They stopped in front of a set of big purple doors. Kyle realized he was still holding Bows hand and let go, his face a little red.

"Uh sorry. Um. Where are we?"

Bow smiled, and pushed the door open. It was a bedroom, an extremely pretty bedroom. Way better than his bunk back at the fright zone, and just a tad more elegant than Bow's room.

"Glimmer is grabbing some food from the royal pantry, Adora's grabbing some stuff from my closet, so they will be here in just a minute I guess. And to answer your question, this is Glimmer's room." Bow sat down at the vanity, and watched Kyle, who was currently looking all over the room.

"Its... a huge room. How does she even get into bed, how is it suspended like that? Are all princesses rooms this cool?" He kept rambling on, asking a ton of questions. Bow couldn't help but laugh, it was cute.

"Its a lot to take in, but it's just a room Kyle. If you think this is awesome, just wait till Adora and Glimmer get here, that's when the real fun starts. Speaking of which-"

There was a knock at the door, and Adora stuck her head in.

"Kyle, close your eyes. And... Uh... Stand in that corner over there! Yeah! That one!" She used her one free hand to point to the wall near a window.

"Um. Okay? You guys aren't going to dump a water over my head like you and Catra did back during first training right?" Bow turned to Adora, shooting her a look. She let out a nervous chuckle.

"Uh no. Sorry about that, it was Catra's Idea. Now go to the corner, hurry."

Kyle shrugged, and walked over to his corner.

Bow quickly got up, and ran to help Adora. She was carrying a large pile of clothes in one hand, some of the shirts falling to the floor.

"Put them there, on the dresser?" Adora looked over to where he was pointing. "Yeah um okay."

The two walked over together, Bow putting up a finger to his mouth as Glimmer peered cautiously into the room. She gave him a thumbs up, and walked over, her arms full with food she took from the kitchen when no one was looking. The three gathered behind Kyle, silently.

"Okay, Kyle turn around... Now!"

He spun around to see them, Bow handing him some shirts.

"We know you didn't bring much, so I figured maybe we could give you some stuff! Mainly clothes. Well get other stuff later but I mean... Tadah!"

It took him a second to process it. They were giving him gifts. Offering him some friendship. Wow.

"You guys... you really didn't have to..." He felt some years gathering in his eyes, and quickly looked away. He didn't want them to think him a crybaby. It was just no one had done much like this for him before.

"Woah. You good?" Adora quickly stepped forward, putting a hand on his shoulder. Glimmer and Bow growing a little bit closer, just enough to still leave him some space.

"Yeah sorry. I'm just not used to this stuff yet."

"Well don't cry yet, we still have to find you clothes that fit," Glimmer chimed.
