He was tired. Tired of it all. The blame. The constant abuse. The criticisms. No one ever listened to him. He loved the fright-zone, it was all Kyle had ever known. But he was so tired of no one taking him seriously. Of being... THAT guy. And if it wasn't bad before, it was now, with Catra calling most of the shots. He couldn't take it.
He had been taking Lonnie's shift when an idea arrived in his head. Was it a good one? By any means, no. Not in any shape or form. But at the same time, Kyle wondered how many more days would he be stuck doing everyone else's work. How many more days would he be the baby of the group. He didn't like that thought. He didn't like any of this. So he sat and thought more and more.
"Kyle? KYLE?" He returned from his mind and saw Lonnie waiting impatiently in front of him. "Shifts up. Thanks or whatever."
She pushed him out of the way and took her post, giving Kyle a stern look, meaning get going. Little did she know he would be going further than just the dorms.
Kyle had been planning this for a while now. He had never really wanted to do it and they had all just been random thoughts, small plans and ideas never meant to be set into motion... He just did it when he got mad, or sad. It was a way to cope, thinking of all the places he would go, how he would get out, and sometimes, he would even think about being apart of the rebellion. He was no princess, but the thought of being the one pushing the Horde around for once made him smile.
Of course, She-ra's escape with the skiff and the rebel princesses really made him think. Especially after the incident. He still sat up for hours at night, thinking about the all the things he had said to him. How he had listened to him. It really made him wonder what he was doing here.
The more he had thought about it, the more complicated those little plans and ideas became. He learned the scheduled patrols. When who was where. And more importantly, what would get him away from the Horde. It had to be fast, so he couldn't be caught. And a old friend had given him an idea on just what was going to let him get away...
