"You really didn't bring anything?"

Glimmer and Adora sat together on Bow's bed, and Bow sat fiddling with some paint and wood on the floor, Kyle sat awkwardly next to him.

"The Horde didn't give us much to keep I guess. I didn't really think much about it anyways. I was more focused on the whole, getting out unnoticed thing."

Adora sat up and thought about Kyle's words. "I wish I would have brought something with me. I don't know what. Then again, It wasn't like I had planned to end up here-" She noticed Glimmer's concerned stare, and added an additional, "-Not that it was a bad thing!"

Kyle thought about it some more. He had never had much. Just some blankets, and a uniform. He did have one prized possession. It was a camera, which had been smuggled in to the Fright zone from some previous raids.

He had only used it once, with the only person he had ever thought was his friend. He had been the closest friend he had, that dumb lizard. Sometimes he wondered if that's all they had been. There had been times when he could have sworn they could've been more. But then things changed. He took more shifts, more jobs. He was gone more, off with the others doing more important work. More important than Kyle.

He used to blame Adora for it. When she ran away, that's when everything went crazy. Catra became force captain, the Horde was suddenly losing battles, Shadow Weaver a traitor. There was even rumors about Hordak becoming a softie for a run away princess.

Seeing her now reminded him that Adora wasn't a bad person. She was part of the good guys. And now, he was too. He was doing something, and it was good. He had a purpose.

Bow turned and looked at Kyle, who was looking away from the now arguing Adora and Glimmer. He wasn't paying attention, probably lost in his thoughts. He had this faint smile on his face.

Bow smiled and turned back to Adora and Glimmer.

"-I mean your mom's nice! The palace is nice! You guys are great! This place is way better than the Horde ever was!"

"Then why do you daydream about that place?"

"Because I was raised there!"

Bow stood up, trying to figure out a way to stop the fight from going further downhill.

"Okay girls!"

They both continued, voices growing louder. By this point, Kyle had snapped back to the conversation, now aware of the growing argument.

"GIRLS!"

This time he had their attention. Both Glimmer and Adora turned to Bow with a loud, "WHAT?"

"I've got an idea, come on, huddle up!"

Glimmer rolled her eyes, but got up with Adora. The three formed a circle, Kyle watching them confused.

"Okay, Kyle didn't bring anything. We want him to be comfortable here right?"

Glimmer thought about it.

"I mean. I guess?"

Bow smiled and pulled the other two closer.

"Here's the plan..."

Kyle watched as they whispered to each other, Bow occasionally turning to check on him, flashing him a smile.
Every time he did this, Kyle felt his face grow a little pink.

"So, any thoughts?"

Glimmer and Adora looked at each, reaching some silent agreement with each other.

"It's crazy-" Adora started.

"-But it just might work!" Glimmer turned and faced Bow.

"Alright, we will do it!"

Bow felt the smile on his face grow bigger, and he grabbed his friends and laughed.

"YES!" He spun the two around, Adora laughing with him, Glimmer screaming, "PUT ME DOWN! PUT ME DOWN!"

And he did, only to grab Kyle and rush out the room.
