Alex's P.O.V
Man, did I hate summer jobs.
Ever since I accidentally crashed my golf cart into their restaurant golf cart, I've been forced to work at Lakeside Tavern to pay off the damage I did.
I hated this.
So much.
And to make it worse, I had even more money to pay off now.
Yesterday as I was working, a crazy red headed girl came running into me and I broke three plates. I groaned as I wiped down more tables on the outdoor porch. I could be swimming in the lake or out on my boat right now, but NOOO!
I rolled my eyes at the thought.
It was then when I saw a girl walk past.
No... Wait.... It was THE girl.
"Ah, so the clumsy red head returns!" I scoffed at her.
The girl's head whipped around, making her long wavy red hair swing behind her.
"Hey. It was an accident. And I even offered to help you yesterday, but NOOO," she retorted with a sassy tone.
I raised my eye brows.
"What are you even doing here?" I asked her, wiping the table down harder.
"I left my bike here yesterday..." She replied, unlocking her bike lock, not making eye contact with me.
"Heh. Clumsy," I chuckled, moving tables.
"Hey diner boy, watch it! I was in a rush yesterday, so I couldn't stop and get it." She sassed back.
"Heh. Oookaaayy!" I teased.
"Shut up," she groaned, kicking up the kickstand and walking her bike out from the parking lot.
"Hey where do you think you're going?" I called out to her.
"What?!" She demanded.
"You broke plates. Now you've gotta help me with this table wiping down," I lied. But hey, I did need some help with this and it was her fault after all.
"Are you freaking serious?" She rolled her eyes, walking her bike back to the rack. She snatched a towel from me and glared and she went to the table on the other side of the porch.
"So what's your name, clumsy?" I asked, trying to make small talk after an awkward silence.
"Fiona." She stated back, "and yours, diner boy?" She mimicked me.
I laughed, "Alex Dawson,"
"Oh here's a bucket of water to help clean," I dropped the bucket next to her leg, and it sloshed out a bit. I chucked.
"Well, Alex Dawson, I have somewhere to be," Fiona dropped her towel down, hurrying out from the patio, inwardly running out.
"Hey! You need to help with this!"
I shouted after her as she ran to her bike.
"I uh, I have to go. I- uh. Sorry! I'll come back later I promise!!" She shouted back to me.
She then propelled off on her bike, leaving me weirded out.
What even was that?
I shrugged and got back to work.
Fiona... Hmm... Strange girl.
I thought to myself.

Romance"I'm not like other girls," Fiona sighed, turning her head away from him. "But that's why I like you," Alex cooed to her in a low whisper. "But you don't understand!" Fiona shouted, whipping her head around to him. "I would understand if you just to...
