Alex's P.O.V
I sat cozily on the grass by the lake, Fiona at my side. My arm rested around her shoulders and her head laid on my shoulder as we sat there all warm in the late summer morning weather.

"Ah. Such a great way to start the day, huh, babe?"

"Mmhmm," she lazily replied back, closing her eyes and cuddling into my side more.

I smiled softly.

We did have a great day so far...

I put my phone down and the hopped out of bed to the Tavern.
This was the only time I could get to sneak into the kitchen without anyone noticing. Yes, this could get me fired but I already paid off the damage to the restaurant golf cart.
I just stayed in the job because of Fiona.

I hopped onto my golf cart and I sped down to the restaurant. I pulled out the keys and crept through the back door, slipping into the kitchen.

I snatched up eggs, cheese, spinach, a frying pan, milk, some bowls, and tomatoes, and I quickly got to work.

I fried the eggs and scrambled them around, creating a nice smell to the kitchen. I then threw in spinach leaves and tomato slices and stirred it around. The sizzling food smelled delightful and I smiled to myself.

When I was finished with that, I ran to the pantry and I grabbed some pancake batter and blueberries. I snatched up another bowl and got to work on a batch of pancakes.
