It's finally competition time for the junior Aromatics team. They are competing against Taakoos schools the Ravens. Their uniform is a dark purple with their team name in bright red. As Melony sat waiting for the game to start, she watched the crowd. The chairs are set up to be lying back, but many people were sitting up.

She saw her parents in the crowd. Her dad is taking pictures on the camera and her mom waved excitedly every time she looked in their direction. Ella is there to, further in the back and was much more subtle, and only smiled when Melony looked at her.

Her stomach twisted and turned in knots. She feared that she would throw up while in the air. Melony picked at her fingers and looking at the list, there are 58 objects that needed to be found. Melony hopped to find the pebble, golden feather and glass marble. The list is almost too long to fully read. The perimeter of the field had been spread out and the height had been volumized. The audience is now laid back in their seats with their binoculars in hand.

"Alright," Ms. Puffin said in her booming voice "players are you ready?" Everyone gave a loud yes. "GO!" And they were off. The kids flew up through the first level of clouds. When they passed a cloud, the cool perspiration hit their face and it felt nice on the skin. All the players scattered, going high and wide.

All the snatchers hung back, and flew around leisurely, while everyone else quickly zoomed around searched for hidden objects. A few things have already crossed themselves off the list. Melony delicately searched through the clouds, she patted around and watched as the cloud particles slipped through her fingers like smoke.

She came across a cloud that's thicker than the others. Every cloud had moved like vaper, but this cloud has a consistency similar to cotton balls. She dug around quickly; she saw other kids coming in her direction. Her left hand grazed something solid. She scrambled and dug for the object, and found it, a small glass marble with a blue speck moving inside. Melony felt so proud of herself when she saw the marble being crossed off the list.

As the game dragged on, it became more and more difficult for Melony to get into the brunt of things, and the snatchers are ignoring her, since she only has one thing in her bundle. She decided to go low, very low, close to the disqualification line. There's a small group of ducks eating and jumping around.

She noticed on one of their sides, there's a peculiar feather. When the ducks jumped, which isn't often, they barely crossed the line to qualify. She took the basket lid and held it with only the tips of her fingers. She gently smacked the ducks with it, half of them ran and half jumped. The duck with the golden feather ran, Melony was afraid that it would run out of the field, but was relieved when she saw that it couldn't run out of the perimeter. She hovered next to the bird and tried to tap it on the back end with the top of her basket.

The duck finally jumped and she barely plucked out a feather. But she was so nervous that she plucked the wrong one. She felt bad when she heard the bird quack loudly. The duck jumped vigorously, all other ducks are long gone and had run away from the field. After some feeble attempt she finally grabbed the golden feather, it had nearly fallen from the duck. As the duck landed without the feather it began to wobble stiffly and robotically. After three steps it shrunk, turned to wood, and fell.

Melony headed over to the forest of duplicated trees. She noticed that some trees had holes in them, and thought about how that would be a good place to hide the egg. After looking into a few trees, she decided to poke her hand into the holes. All the trees were deep, and not quite splintery, but it did make Melony nervous. A few trees over she watched as two players, one Hatchling and a Raven, were at opposite sides of a tree, trying to get past the birds to get an egg. She moved on to a tree where they couldn't see her.

She continued to thrust her hand in and out of tree trunks, until she found something. It felt warm, to warm to be comfortable, nearly hot. She sucked in a breath and grabbed the object. It glowed, it's a hot flame, no, it's a beautiful shining star. It slowly getting warmer and warmer as it touched her skin. She quickly put it in her pocket and gave it a secure pat. The heat is comfortably warm and snug in her pocket and she watched as the star was crossed off the list.
