The school was huge and the older students were talking, yelling, and running around while the new kids stood awkwardly and quietly. Four teachers made the students quiet down and separate into groups. The sea of colored jumpsuits separated into neat rows of gray, green, blue, and red. The main teacher for the air students was a short, plump older lady with already graying hair. She looked like a kind fairy godmother.

"Students in their second year and older can go up to their rooms and settle in. Room check will start in 1 hour, now go." They ran into the school thrilled and screaming. When they were almost gone, she started speaking again.

"Hello, I am Ms. Puffin and I will be helping you through your first year with us. First, we'll go on a quick tour of the school then I'll show you to your rooms. You'll have this room every year from now on."

The school is like a labyrinth, with many stares going in many directions. But first, they went down the main hallway that led to the auditorium.

"This," She waved dramatically to the empty room with a podium in the front "is where you're going to go after breakfast tomorrow." She continued through a large side door into a new room.

"The lunch room..." it was a big room with 4 tables. The tablecloths signal where you're supposed to sit. Fairies hung in the corners of the room and under the table clothes. They whispered together in their tiny musical voices.

After 40 minutes of walking up stares and taking elevators they were all exhausted. They took the elevator to the very top of the school to get to their room. On the left side was a set of doors labeled boys and on the right side was for the girls.

"You each get a key with a number on it, you will line up in front of the doors. Before you cross the threshold, say your number and puff, there's your room."

Melony held her key tightly in her hand and patiently waited her turn. The whole time she looked at the gargantuan cork board on the wall. The only thing that was on it was a banister that said Welcome Students. The hallway was completely endless and she felt absolutely terrified of getting lost. The only other thing is a large window that looks out over the school grounds. Past the white gates enclosing the school is a large wood. Also, at the edge of the window she could see a clear, sparkling pond.

Finally, it was Melony's turn, she said "421" and puff she was in front of a door labeled 421 just like Ms. Puffin said. It's small and neat. Her bag is placed on top of her new bed. The floors are wooden, the bed sheets are white and puffy, a small wardrobe with an endless amount of space, and a desk with a piece of paper on it in front of the tiny window that had mint green curtains. She then went through the bathroom door. It had black and white tiled floors, a toilet, sink, and a claw foot bathtub.

She had one medium sized bag with her. It's a black satin bag with a bluebird on one side and a red bird on the other. It has a silver clasp and a black handle. The first thing she took out was her mailbox. Her parents got her the box three weeks before school started. The mailbox is for transporting things to and from home. She opened the lid and her mother had already sent her something. A bag of chocolate cookies and a note that says XOXO Mom.

Her wardrobe is extensive. She has four more sets of the gray jumpsuits required by the school. She also brought two yellow dresses, two trousers, two sets of shirts for non-school clothes and pajamas. She set them all up neatly in her wardrobe, along with her pointed witches' hat and bag that still has all her school things.

She went to her desc and looked at her schedule. Breakfast, creature study, potions, history, Lunch, study hall, air classes, free time, Supper.

The only direction to where the classes are is the floor numbers.
