After a week and a half and one train ride later, they were back at school. Ella and Melony were excited, they would be visiting other places in their magic areas. Ella would be visiting a town at the bottom of the arctic sea. Melony would be visiting a village of air people that lived on the highest mountain. The students and staff are eating their welcome back dinner and everything was relatively calm.

BLAM! POP! CRASH! The plates that are filled with food and glasses full of water went flying everywhere. As for the students, balls of paint exploded from their back pockets, not even the teachers were safe from the paint. The sounds were so shocking that all the kitchen fairies and Biscuit came running in. The fairies are unashamedly laughing at everything. The ogre was trying to hide his laughter by hiding his face.

And for the first few minutes it was funny. But the plates threw themselves around and shattered. The metal cups tried to clobber students in the head, and the silverware tried to stab almost everyone. The paintballs had severely incapacitated many students, it felt like they had been shot by a paintball in the bum. The chaos and screaming from both students and teachers went on for thirty minutes. Near the end of this chaos, many people had noticed that the air students were nearly completely unharmed.

Ella had been attacked by the paintball and Melony was doing a good job of keeping the forks from stabbing her friend.

"ENOUGH!" The principal yelled, "Pudandia!" Now the silverware and glass were caught floating in the air, unable to move like it was submerged in jello. He and all the teachers are red with rage.

"If you're hurt, go to the nurse. If not, go to your rooms now." Melony and the rest of the air students almost ran to their rooms. When they were in the elevator Lottie made a short announcement.

"It's going to be ok. Everyone calm down. Just stay calm. Now, later you'll probably get questioned. Just be honest and you'll be ok. Now scat."

They ran to their rooms and didn't dare come out. After an hour, an envelope was slipped under everyone's door. It read Dear students, due to recent circumstances we have called your guardians and asked them for permission to search your rooms. Thank you for your cooperation and will be speaking to you soon.

The rest of the week was chaotic. The students that got hit by the paintballs the most were the fire and earth students. They were now causing trouble for the air and a few water students. One night a group of students snuck up to the air rooms and threw in loud sizzling bombs and blackout bombs. They also put sticking spells at the water rooms entry room so that when they tried to leave, they would get stuck for a few minutes.

So, when it came time for the air students to go on the trip, they were beyond thrilled, even if their rooms were going to be checked when they left. The bus had just enough space for everyone, they have to sit two to a seat. The bus is padded all over from the ceiling, to the walls, to the floor. This is slightly concerning, but when they started moving it became obvious why it's needed. As they flew to the mountains the turbulence became terrible. If it weren't for everything being padded, someone would have gotten a concussion. Ms. Puffin talked to the students with ease while the twenty something students were getting thrown around.

"I'm very excited, this is where my family comes from you know. In fact, one of my second cousins has a special treat for you." She only paused for the briefest second to make sure no one had hit their head hard. "And something you might not have known; they make flying carpets for professional Aromatics teams. You'll get to see where there made. Isn't that wonderful."

She sat down and buckled up when the turbulence got to bad, even for her.

After about 30 minutes, they had arrived at the mountains. The towns people are fairly short, round, and bundled up in wholly clothes. Even the sheep have colorful hats on. They aren't in the clouds, but every once in a while, clouds would float by. They went to the carpet factory with amazing and colorful carpets.

They got a brief rundown of how you make the carpets. Starting with collecting the whole from the sheep, dying it, and putting it on the loom. They spent an hour in the factory and watching the machines. The owner is a small, round, bald man with a thick black beard that stops at his belly. He told them the history of carpets, how they originated from earth users in the desert. This was long before the world knew about magic. When he talks, the students couldn't see his mouth moving through his enormous beard.

When they finished visiting the factory, they went to have a picnic in the center of town. Ms. Puffin was right about her cousin's sweet treat. She maid strawberry cupcakes for everyone. Thought the cupcakes are delicious, the lemon frosting she added could have been left out, in Melony's opinion. Ms. Puffin and her cousin, Opal, look very similar except Opal was younger with ginger hair and wind chapped skin.

It was a fun day for all the kids, but when they got to school, all hell broke out. As the bus pulled into the school's driveway, other first years were outside and glittering like disco balls. Melony saw Ella and the other water students making a mad dash to the lake while trying to rub the glitter from their faces.

"Everyone," their teacher announced "Stick together and follow me." They followed their teacher into the school in a single file line. Every single surface of the main hall is covered in a sticky glitter glue substance. Mr. Greengrass is the first teacher that the group came across.

"What happened?" Ms. Puffin asked.

"We don't know. The slime started falling from the ceiling. We tried to get the fairies to clean it, but they just started throwing it at us. Sorry, I half to find my students. You probably shouldn't go further." He whispered something in his colleagues' ear.

"It gets gooier the further you go. You'll get stuck and they, the fairies, are trying to pull people's hair out"

They left and waited outside. Melony tried to find Ella, and eventually she did. Her face is the only thing free from the sparkling sludge. Her hair is in ugly clumps of goo that looked like it's slowly solidifying.

"So, what happened?" Melanie asked. Ella shrugged, "I was talking to Hattie when we were hit. You know what, at first I thought it was Ben playing a prank, but he's not smart enough to do this to the whole school." Hattie and Poppy ran up to the other girls.

"Hey, are you guys ok?" Melony asked and they all nodded. Poppy held her hands against her chest and whispered "did you see the fairies?" her large eyes are made larger by her glasses. Everyone was confused.

"Before, they were all giggling to each other and whispering. I don't know, I think they've been a little weird since school started." The four girls thought about the fairies over the school year, all the mischievous looks, whispers, and giggling.
