It was getting dark now and there were only twenty minutes left. As a whole, Melony had collected five objects in total. Two snatchers had come up to her and tried to snag her basket, the first time she smacked him away and the second time a snatcher on her side bumped the other team's snatcher away. There are only fifteen more items on the list and she was looking through the clouds again. Melony paused and went stiff. There's loud yelling, but not in a cheering sort of way.

"Flyers," Ms. Puffins voice boomed "leave the area, but do not come down. Fly to the school immediately."

Confused, all the flyers approached the border slowly. They're high up in the air and slowly peeked their heads outside. Everyone is screaming and running, the chairs are turned over and smashed along with the binoculars. The students saw pterodactyl like creatures running around. They were reptiles with red eyes, short arms, and long swishing tails. They are only slightly taller than a 7-year-old child, but much stronger. They picked up chairs and smashing them.

Teachers ran out of the school to help while students were running towards the school. Parents of the flyers hung back to make sure their kids are ok. All 40 or so flyers flew towards the school as fast as they could. They tried to fly near their parents but were all ordered to get to the school immediately.

When Melony was halfway to the school, she came across Ella. She slowed down and came lower to hover next to her friend. Ella huffed and puffed, trying to catch her breath. Melony shoved the basket back to make room for Ella.

"Here, hop on." Melony held out her hand to help her friend up. Ella crawled on shakily nearly falling off and, under different circumstances, Melanie would be laughing. But, now isn't the time. As the carpet rose into the air, Ella clung to her friend in a vice like grip. They took off towards the school at a steady pace, the other flyers are already inside the school.

When they got into the school they landed and went to a front window to watch. The teachers are casting spells at the reptilian creatures, while the parents stuck close to the school but didn't come in. The schools red headed nurse and the principal came into the school's main hallway and got the students attention.

"Alright, here's what we're going to do. Everyone head downstairs and go to a classroom. When it's safe, we'll come and let you out. Now, let's go."

Everyone took the stairs instead of the elevator because of the number of students, the first years all the way to the sixth years crowded and pushing each other downstairs. The first years were the first to get downstairs, that's when they heard screaming. The first years saw people covering their heads before they saw the brownies. They were angrier and meaner than they had been all year, and we're back with a vengeance.

Many students huddled together and crouched on the floor. Some of the older students were brave enough to try to use their wands, but the brownies would snatch them away by biting and stabbing fingers with little sewing pins that they were using like swords, then came together to break the wands. The brownies had a sort of battle cry that sounded like a hundred angry bells and wind chimes.

Melony preparing herself for the pokes and pulling when someone grabbed her tightly by the wrist and wanked her forward, almost knocking her over, and through the crowd of students. They pulled her to a door and shoved her inside, slamming it shut after they had gotten inside. Ella was pressed against the door, huffing and had a shallow cut on her face. Melony checked her wrist, it was already red.

"Are you ok?" Melony asked. Ella gave a quick thumbs up, but concentrated on breathing and keeping the door closed. They stood in the creature's study room, with the posters of all the creatures they are studying plastered to the walls. Ella slowly moved her hand upward and pointed to Mr. Greengrass's desk.

"Keys." is the only thing she said.

Melony shuffled over to the desk and started looking through the drawers. She found the keys in a dower with spare pencils, pens, and paperclips. She went over to Ella, who still barricaded the door. The first five keys didn't work, they were either too small or too big, one seemed like it was the wright fit, but almost got stuck. Key number six was the wright fit, it went in and turned smoothly, it even made a click sound when the door was locked.

Ella walked over to Mr. Greengrass's guest chair and plopped down with a huff, scrunched her face, and rubbed her temple.

"How did those brownies get in?" Ella asked in a quiet and confused tone.

"Maybe they found a secret way in, or maybe someone let them in." Melony said as she walked behind the teacher's desk and sat in his swivel chair. Both girls sat in their chairs and thought silently, Ella thought about the brownies and lizard creature's magical appearance and how they both showed up at the same time. Melony thought about how long it would be until the malicious creatures would be gone, and gave a quick thought to her classmates stuck outside.

Their silence was broken by two boys throwing the door open and slamming it closed. George and Ben were huffing, they had some small tears in their green uniforms, ruffled hair with glitter, and cuts on their hands and faces.
