Gabriella glared at Cristiano as he climbed out of Isabelle’s Audi RS3 Sport-back, she was furious that Isabelle was going to be staying with him; she just knew that he was going to hurt her daughter.

Cristiano ignored Gabriella while he shouldered a bag that he had brought with fresh clothes for his girlfriend; Isabelle was finally being discharged from hospital after nearly a month in hospital.

There had been an unexpected complication that had kept Isabelle in the hospital longer than expected and Cristiano was just glad that everything was okay now.

Cristiano couldn’t believe that this was how everything had worked out and he was thrilled to hear that Irina had been denied bail thanks to his own personal meddling.

Irina had plans to flee Spain if she was released so that she couldn’t face the trial that was building against her; she was looking to face at least five years in prison for what she had done.

“So you’re still going to do this,” Gabriella said moving to keep up with Cristiano, she didn’t want him thinking that she was okay with him taking Isabelle home; she wanted him to realise that he was making a big mistake.

Cristiano took a deep breath and ignored Gabriella, he wasn’t going to fight with her when he knew that it was pointless; he would do whatever Isabelle wanted and she wanted to come home with him.

“You’re only going to break her heart… she needs to accept that her career is over,” Gabriella said trying to make Cristiano understand that she knew best for her daughter; she hated to think of something bad happening to Isabelle.

Cristiano stopped walking and glared at Gabriella, she had been far from supportive since Isabelle had been hospitalised and the infection that had kept her in hospital longer.

Isabelle smiled thrilled to see her boyfriend of nearly three months, she couldn’t wait to go home and she was secretly glad that she would be away from her mother.

Isabelle was hurt that Gabriella wasn’t being supportive of her plans to get back on her feet and try to dance again; it was something that she loved and it was being dismissed.

“Hola,” Isabelle said sitting up, she was tired of being sat in the hospital bed which was far from comfortable; she just wanted to be at home. Cristiano smiled moving to kiss Isabelle, he set down her bag hoping that the clothes that he had picked out would be okay for her to get home in.

Isabelle still had her leg in it’s cast and would remain like that for another couple of weeks; her stitches had healed nicely after the infection had died down and they would be removed by the District Nurse when they came to look after her.

“Hola… are you ready to go home?” Cristiano asked, he wasn’t going to mention Gabriella to his girlfriend since he doubted that she would be pleased with the meddling that her mother was doing right now.

Isabelle nodded her head, she was just waiting on her discharge papers and then she was ready to go; she kissed Cristiano wishing that she had some way to thank him for all that he had done for her.

“I brought you some clean clothes,” Cristiano said nodding at the bag, her clothes from the accident had been ruined and he was sure that they had been kept by the police as evidence.

Isabelle nodded her head as the doctor walked into the room, he smiled at the couple before he moved to sign off on the paperwork that would allow Isabelle to go home.

“You’re officially free to go… I’ll just have the nurse bring you a wheelchair,” the doctor said with a smile before he left the room, Cristiano swallowed knowing that being in a wheelchair wouldn’t be easy on Isabelle.

It wasn’t the first time that she would be in one but it was going to take some time for her to get used to it especially since it would be a very long time before she was walking again.

“Do you need help getting dressed?” Cristiano asked looking at Isabelle, he didn’t want her doing too much but he knew better than to push her and baby her.

Isabelle nodded her head, she didn’t want to rip out her stitches and she would need help pulling on her shorts with her cast; she smiled at Cristiano glad that he wasn’t rushing her.

Isabelle didn’t know what she would have done if he wasn’t here with her, she didn’t like how her mother was treating her or how her father was reacting.

Cristiano moved to pull the grey embellished T-shirt and khaki viscose shorts that he had brought for her too wear; he wanted her to be comfortable until they could get home.

“Isa,” Junior squealed excitedly, he rushed forward to hug Isabelle while his father settled her onto the couch; Cristiano smiled knowing how much his son had missed his girlfriend.

Cristiano hadn’t taken Junior to see Isabelle because he didn’t want him around the negativity that Gabriella was creating; he felt on edge enough around the woman and he didn’t want her lashing out at his son.

“I missed you, did papa give you my card?” Junior said with a bright smile, he had sent Isabelle a card that he had made at school for her; he was a little sad that he hadn’t been able to see her while she was in hospital but Cristiano had explained why he couldn’t.

Isabelle nodded her head, she had truly missed the little boy while stuck in hospital but she understood why Cristiano didn’t want him there; she had been ill for weeks and her mother hadn’t been very welcoming to Cristiano.

Dolores smiled watching Isabelle interact with her grandson, she was thrilled to see that Isabelle was okay and she wasn’t sure what Cristiano would have done if she hadn’t made it.

The last time that Cristiano had lost someone, it had been Junior’s mother and he had become a nightmare to deal with; Dolores never wanted to see her son like that again.

Cristiano deserved to be happy and he was going to need all the help that he could get while Isabelle recovered; it would take at least a year for the red head to get back on her feet again.

Dolores had decided to stay in Madrid and help out, she wanted her son to be happy and it was clear that losing Isabelle wouldn’t destroy him.

Cristiano smiled watching Isabelle with his son, she was the perfect mother-figure for his son and he was determined to make sure that she had everything that she needed.

“Would anyone like some lunch?” Dolores asked looking at the small family, it was amazing to see how everything had come together for them and she truly did hope that they wouldn’t have any more problems.

Isabelle nodded her head looking at Dolores, she was fed up with hospital food and it was another reason that she was glad to be home; she had missed decent home cooked food.

“I’ll make some soup,” Dolores said nodding her head, she left Cristiano and Isabelle alone while they fussed over Junior; things were going to be hard for the next few months and she was determined to make sure things went okay.

Cristiano watched his mother leave, he had no idea what he would have done for the last few weeks without her.
