Another Monday it is in Avonlea, and it  has always been as peaceful as ever, Avonlea has always been such a lovely place, and no wonder some families would want to live there. And just this moment two new families have come to town. The Baynards and the Mackenzies.

The Baynards are a French family who moved to Avonlea because their father who is a retired soldier  wanted to go live in Avonlea, the most peaceful place. Their father wanted to be near his family and away from all the chaos, so Avonlea was the best choice.

The Mackenzies has always lived in Avonlea, but when their father and mother  got divorced all of their kids got separated and some of them went with their father to another country and some of them stayed in Avonlea. But now that their  father sadly passed away . The children had to go home to their mother.

It was a fine monday morning, the sky was bright already though a little cloudy. It was then when Anne saw a moving truck pass by, she figured they were expecting new neighbors. That means Marilla's gonna make her highly praised special contest winner plum puffs, and make her go to the neighbor and give it to them. It's just a sign of courtesy to the new members of the community. But Anne didn't like it that much. She had to put up a good face to them. Oh well whatever. She thought at last as she finishes her milk and pancakes she has been eating by the dining room window.

She quickly puts away her dishes and heads to the door.

"Marilla I'm off to school!" She shouted out for her.

"Be safe, Anne!" Marilla shouted back from  the house in God knows what room.

Anne was waiting for Diana. Her walking buddy. But she was graced with the presence of Gilbert.

"And you are here because?" Anne asked.

"Well Diana told me to accompany you as she had to go to school super early, even before you got out of bed explaining how you did not see her." Gilbert explained.

Anne was about to complain but Gilbert prompted to cut her out. " And I know that you are quite capable of walking yourself to school but my car broke down and now I have to walk through the forest so it wouldn't make sense if we don't accompany each other." Gilbert explained again in one breath. "As friends, competition friends." Gilbert added.

Anne was dumbfounded. Everything he said was right, and makes sense. So she just nods.

"Okay fine, seems like I have a lack of choices so now let's go before we get late for school." Anne walk-runned past Gilbert.

Gilbert found it hard to follow. Well people  said to follow your dreams, but if your dreams was this fast like a charging bull, it's just too hard to follow.

"Carrots can ya slow down. We are still half an hour early and it's just a more or less than 10 minute walk or something." Gilbert exclaimed.

"Or maybe you could speed up Blythe."

"There's no need to hurry though Anne." Gilbert insisted even more.

"Gotta keep up to not be left behind. I am not waiting for you Blythe."   Anne insisted as well.

Anne kept walking for a while before stopping as she heard nothing but silence, she turned around to see Gilbert nowhere in sight.

"Blythe?" Anne calls out to him. She walked back from her tracks. Slowly ogling her way through the forest. She would look left and right and even sillyly looked up, as if she'd find Gilbert hanging from a tree.

"Gilbert if you're hiding from me it's not funny!" She called out once again.

Just then a sonorous scream echoed throughout the forest. It sounded so much like a distressed Gilbert.
