Anne finally finished her cleaning and exits the gym and heads to the girls locker room where she kept her stuff and head out after freshening up. She see's someone waiting for her at the school's fountain area right outside the school.
"Cole?" Anne says alarming Cole that was on his phone.
"Hey, Anne. I came to pick you up." He says offering his arm which Anne puts an arm around as well. It was a friend's thing they do whenever they walk in the mall. Makes other inquisitive people think they're a couple.
Though they are not, they are as kindred spirits as Anne is to Diana. "Cool." Anne pips in giggling. Her eyes roam around for a curly haired hazel head.
"He rushed home, said it was an emergency, he told me to pick you up and send you over to Jake's house. He says his house was a mess and that he likes you."
"What!?" Anne exclaims scowling at him.
"You were wondering where Gilbert was." Cole says matter of factly.
"No I wasn't-" Anne begins to say."Uh pup pup." Cole says silencing his friend. "I'm here to send you to Jake's house quickly, Blythe is gonna send you home so I can go on my date."
"Your date? Ooh that's interesting. Who's the lucky girl?" Anne teases that strokes something on Cole's guitar as he seemed tense.
"Anne you're my bestfriend right?" Anne nods a this and smiles. "And you'll support me no matter what?" Cole asks unsure. "Of course." Anne says reassuringly.
"Anne I have to tell you something." He says facing Anne. "You know Ms. Josephine Barry and Gertrude right?" Cole asks. "Uh huh. Diana's great Anne and her lover" Anne says realizing the conversation has become super serious as Cole stews around.
"Well, I'm like them Anne. I'm like Josephine and Gertrude." Cole finally says as she looks at Anne's face for her reaction. Anne gasps and let's out a breath.
"That's-I didn't know, oh Cole, that's wonderful." Anne says finding it hard to say what's right. "I'm glad you told me." Anne finally says making Cole breath out a breath he has been holding in.
"I'm glad I have a friend like you Anne." Cole says as he hugs Anne briefly.
"Now let's go, my date is waiting up for me already." Cole says bringing Anne's arm to his once again. "Ooh what's his name, is he in our class, do I know him? Tell me." Anne asks inquisitively.
"I'll tell you after I see if he's worth it telling you about." Cole says. "So after the date?" Anne asks and Cole approves.
"So have you told anyone else yet? Am I the only one who knows apart from the guy you're dating. Who is he? is he our classmate, do I know him. Tell me." Anne rambles making Cole sigh.
"You're an inquisitive little bird aren't you. That's part of why I didn't wanna tell you. I'll tell you everything, Anne, everything, that is after the date." Cole says and Anne just chuckles and says ok.
Anne and Cole finally reaches Jake's place. Well it was more like Jake's mom's basement which was his place, apparently and it was a massive video game and guys den.
Cole leaves immediately on his truck and heads to God knows where, she didn't tell Anne but he promised to tell her right after.
"So, welcome to the Gladiator's pit." Jake says moving some stuff around from the couch for Anne to sit. "Would you like anything to drink. Soda, beer?" Jake asks and sees Anne grimace at the mention of beer.
Beer, they have beer, his mother allows him to have beer?
"Oh soda would be fine, thanks." Anne says as she puts her stuff down and takes a seat and looks around the Gladiator's pit as Jake called it. There were a few beanbags around and a big ass tv and gaming stuff. There was also a bunch of computers and laptops and a bunch of gadgets around. A bunch of sports and gaming posters. There was even a poster of a girl in a very revealing racing track outfit. And a cute pastel blue mini fridge on the corner, which doesn't quite add up to the whole vibe of the room.
