here goes nothing, Nina thought raising her hand to knock on the door. sometimes anxiety got an upper hand on her making of new friends, she got scared because most had left for one reason or another. only Amélia had remained and Marina could practically hear an angry rant in Portuguese had she refused the opportunity.

"coming." Zendaya's voice was recognizable due to years watching tv shows and videos.

you can do this. this is a day to create meaningful connections, to have fun. act your age for once. the younger Miranda hardly ever got to be just a twenty two years old, she couldn't afford to risk a carefully crafted image.

"Nina's here!" Cheers erupted from around the living room.

Martina Kivi, a woman she had met countless times since her moving to NYC, stood up to hug her and introduce all other people. it was so overwhelming to be there. thankfully the girls were amazing up until the point they had decided to play twenty one questions. that game was a nightmare, specially when half the players were tipsy.

"so, Nina."Angourie asked between bites of a Norwegian dish courtesy of May. "most famous person you have met."

"well, it is a tie between Teresa May and Barack Obama." She answered. "though I've met mostly politicians these past years, I bumped into Harry Stiles once."

"no way!" Zendaya exclaimed. "favorite Cinderella retelling?"

"If the shoe fits, only because Sofia Carson is amazing."

this type of conversation was easy and soon they fell into a pattern of asking and answering. She could get used to this group, and Amélia would get along with Zendaya splendidly.

"okay, my turn." Martina said loudly while cuddling a ferret. "who is your celebrity crush?"

"there have been way more than twenty one questions." Nina deflected with expertise.

"oh, is it embarrassing?" Angie had moved on to popcorn.

these girls had quickly grown on her, but she didn't want to talk for much longer. Marina was not used to this much social interaction. Sure, the girl did talk to a lot of people on a daily basis, but it was as part of her job.

"not really but I feel like I am the one doing all the talking."

"fine! my celebrity crush is Tyler Hoechlin." May blurted out, somewhat fueled by wine. "please don't tell that to my fiancé. I was really into Teen Wolf after my last break up."

"Joseph Gordon-Lewitt." The young blonde said. "He looks like he would treat me well."

"He is actually adorable but I am more of Keanu Reeves kind of girl." Zendaya's statement was surprising.

"I actually met him once, for five minutes in an Airport. But my celebrity crushes are categorized." the girls motioned for Nina to continue. "TV Shows wise, Grant Gustin and Andy Samberg. Theatre is whoever plays Fyiero on Broadway. And movies, I don't know probably a Tom."

She hoped no one would ask for elaborating on the Tom part.

"Holland? Felton? Sturridge? Hiddleston? Hardy?" Zendaya inquired.

"All of them but mostly Holland." Damn me and my need to be honest, Nina thought to herself. "I was rewatching Marvel Movies in preparation for tomorrow and he is quite easy on the eyes." They all had a mischievous glint in their eyes. "any of you tell him and there will be blood."
