Marina was an admitted controller. every little step from her day was carefully planned on a bullet journal with the cover painted to look like starry night, which had started as a therapy exercise.

when they were thirteen and anxiety reared it's ugly face at first, Amélia was the one to help Nina come clean to her parents as to why her grades dropped a little. they'd stuck together through three different psychologists until a good one was found, they'd held each other when their home was destroyed by a hurricane. the girls had walked hand in hand through the wreckage left behind, both sets of parents knowing that as long as they had one another, things would be alright. at nineteen, Marina had cried on her friend's arms after her relationship ended, not even noticing how the Brazilian sported an expression of shock and somewhat relief. from the beginning of time it was Marina Miranda and Amélia Costa.

now it was just Marina Miranda and the need to figure out what came next.
