there were certain things you couldn't take for granted, Nina mused while wind blew through her hair. she had set an alarm in all phones available (including Tom's) to not miss her flight, which gave her enough peace of mind to enjoy one last drive by Santa Monica.

"you know..." he had a small smile as they stopped to let people cross the street.

"I probably don't, Thomas. but do enlighten me."

"I've been to this city so many times but this one was different." Her smiling face matched his, she hummed to encourage him. "so much changed in my life this past year. I got a very cool aunt."

"May is awesome, do you think she'd adopt me?"

"probably not. Back to the point of my monologue. I got her, got to make a movie I am so proud of and through all of this I think I kind of forgot how to be myself a little."
