"Jesus, I am so nervous. what if I get asked something and answer it in another language, I tend to switch depending on the topic. but that is not a problem, or is it? why am I even walking the carpet?" Marina's rant caught Jake's, May's and Aaron's attention.

the four had rode together but had yet to leave the car.

"it is my first big event too." May tried to empathize.

"that's a lie, you've done three Tony's and crushed every single one." they had exited their car and were now receiving orientation from an assistant. "and you are half of Hollywood's cutest couple, like come on."

"hey, I have an idea." Jake occasionally acted his age. "May and I will go, you count five minutes and go to the carpet as well with where we will be stalling so one of us can be with you at all times."

with that solid plan in mind, Marina took deep breaths to calm down and enter the public persona mindset. 5,4,3,2,1, the girl with a headset directed her to where most photographers were and she posed with a confidence she did not have. Aaron was gracious enough to stick by her side even if they had met fifteen minutes before when Amélia cried as he sang her happy birthday.

"Nina, look over here! over here!" even if this was not an even where the girl should be, Marina Miranda became someone to watch out for, specially when accompanied by an extremely handsome man. they did pictures both apart and together with their friends. with practiced ease the part with photographs finished and gave way to even worse, interviews. some reporter asked for Jake, another for the broadway best friend duo and suddenly Nina was alone in front of a nice looking Asian girl.

"hello everyone, I am Catherine Park with Variety and I am here with Marina Miranda at the Far From Home premiere!" Both women did a little wave to the camera man. "how does it feel to be here?"

"completely insane. I mean, most people my age grew up surrounded by this cinematic universe and I feel very lucky to actually be here." smile just a little longer, push some hair behind your ear.

"it is insane but at least you seem to be in good, very handsome might I add, company. did you come together?" there it was, an unnecessary hint at having walked the carpet with a male company.

"well, I did como with my uncle's friend as a late birthday present and the boys are just added bonus."

"a huge bonus." the woman tried to pry something out of her.

"indeed but I am here first and foremost as a fan."

"right." she discreetly looked around for someone she knew. "and as a fan, how did you feel about endgame?"

"I felt a lot! I have this tradition with my parents to go to midnight screenings and they always have the best energy. it felt like a soccer stadium. which in turn made every feeling feel more intense."

"we always see you with your parents, would you say you divide your time well between your work and personal life?"

"I like to think so. I mean, my mother is usually with me when she is not busy running an entire company with father and Amélia doubles as best friend slash assistant, so I have a pretty sweet deal."

"and no boyfriend?" an obvious question given how the girl was pretty, rich and famous.

"not anymore, my ex broke up with me because he didn't support the shift in my interests and ideals which is bs but whatever. I know I can do much better."

"you go girl!" they shared a few more jokes and all the bad things that Marina had felt dissipated. her interviewer was not bad.

"sorry, Cath, Aaron seems to need me over there but do tag me in our selfie."

both May and Marina had a thing about arriving early to places so the four were easily everyone's favorite to interview. they had easy chemistry, completed each other's jokes, not counting their obvious beauty. until the movie's actual stars arrived.

"I am telling you May, Aaron would be a perfect match for Eileen. we need to get them together." Nina's scheming stopped as newfound friends waved her over.

Zendaya looked flawless as usual, so did everyone. a lot of marvel stars had shown up and by the end of the carpet, Nina's phone was filled with fun selfies and new phone numbers.

"do you think it will be okay if you sit with us for the movie?" Z asked while they made their way inside the theater.

"sure! I'll just let Aaron know since May is probably with Jake still taking pictures outside."

one of Marina Miranda's biggest nightmare was to end up bumping into someone she shouldn't. like anyone from high school, her ex, that one weird lady from down the street and pretty much anyone in any situation. but as her eyes looked over a much taller crowd, a pair of hand prevented her from hitting the ground.

"hey, there." if she didn't know any better, Nina would say Tom was blushing.

"hi, ai meu Deus me desculpa! eu nem vi por onde tava indo e..." whenever her company made a certain expression it meant she had reverted back to another language. "shit, was I speaking Portuguese?"

"I'll have to go with yes because I have no idea if that's what it was." Tom nervously pushed his glasses up, a gesture she found rather endearing. "I'm Tom."

"Nina." the other three fourths of her quartet fist bumped as the young couple joined the others, slightly behind so they could keep talking.

"as in Nina Miranda?" she nodded. "dude, you're awesome!"

"you as well, like you're Spider-Man! that gets you all the brownie points."

"you speak like eight languages?" Marina was enjoying this ego boost immensely.

"not really, fluently I speak six, eight if you count sign languages, and I am working on Italian."

if the boy had one thing to take away from this conversation it was that her company is something he wouldn't mind keeping around.
