Central Park was a sight to behold no matter when. Today, however, tourists and natives alike were surprised by a bunch of cameras in the middle of it.
"what is America to you?" Marina Miranda asked the first person to sit down in front of her.
"at first it was a dream." the old man said, fiddling with his hat. his accent still thick reminded Nina of Señor Luis. "now I am not so sure."
"right now?" a woman not older than her by much, spoke heatedly. along with bright blue hair it made for an amusing image for curious New Yorkers. "a flaming pile of garbage. I still love it though."
"I don't really know, but I think it is a doll or something." Sarah, a small seven years old girl answered much to her parents amusement.
The better part of the morning was spent collecting testimonies from New Yorkers who had been willing to participate. The documentary would be split into small fifteen minutes segments, each director responsible for one with an overall line tying everything up.
"So after lunch, which consists of these cereal bars and some kinda warm energy drink." Adam cringed at the temperature of the can he was holding. "we record in the studio with your cousin and his friends and after that we are free until tomorrow when we go to Washington to meet Donald, not the president, and some politicians."
Marina missed having Amélia as her assistant, their years of inside jokes and small moments but Adam seemed to be rising up to his position. He was funny, charming and someone she wouldn't mind keeping around.
"that sounds exciting." her answer sounded flat with tiredness given their day had started extremely early. "after that Ava gets control of the next segment so we should be free to do other things. Any ideas?"
Adam loved time have input considering his last boss had been a disgusting old woman.
"I was going through e-mails and you have quite a few interview requests, some round tables and maybe some panels with MFOL?" His fingers flew on the tablet's screen, messing with a digital agenda. "And also Mister Gyllenhaal's play in a few weeks."
Talks of her new friends had reminded her of her own cousin and his other friends. An idea came to mind.
"Adam, please check with my parents if our house upstate is available."
