{well this certainly needs an innuendo warning because Remus is around and he's flirting so you know how well that will go}
Intrulogical ~ Same Heartbeat
Logan didn't believe in soulmates.
The idea that he was inextricably linked with someone else on this planet of over eight billion people was quite laughable. Impossible, even.
He didn't believe in soulmates.
Caught up in such thoughts on a dreary Tuesday morning, he was startled back into the current world by a tap on his shoulder. Looking up, Logan found a thin man with a mess of wild curls on his head, and what seemed to be a truly horrendous mustache.
"You gettin' on this bus or should I escort you back to La La Land?" The guy grinned. One of his eyes seemed to have a slight list to it, giving him a permanently crazed look.
Logan glanced at the bus number and cleared his throat, getting to his feet. "No, no. This is mine."
He picked up his briefcase and straightened his tie, stepping past the man. "Erm. Thank you."
"No problem, Specs! Us dreamy-eyed kinds gotta stay together."
Logan scoffed as he took a seat again, inside the bus. "I am not dreamy-eyed."
"Suuuure." The man grinned at him. "I'm Remus, by the way."
"Logan."

Logan didn't believe in soulmates.
A significant other was understandable. A true love, perhaps he could come to terms with that (though he was of the opinion that it was a similar, but more fairytale oriented thing). But never a soulmate.
He didn't believe in soulmates.
"Day-dreaming again, Specs?"
Logan looked up at Remus. It had become a game they played, for Remus to greet him with the nickname and a teasing joke. Logan would always scoff and straighten his tie, but he had to admit to himself that perhaps he didn't mind Remus nearly as much as he used to.
"I don't day-dream. I was merely reflecting on a conversation I had with a coworker yesterday that may make the meeting we have today a bit tedious."
"Want me to kill them?" Remus offered without hesitation. It was often what he suggested, even in response to the simplest of issues.
"No." Logan pushed his glasses up. "The answer, as always, is no."
"You'll give in one day." The dancer snickered and stretched his legs out in front of the bench they were sitting on. "What was the conversation about?"
Logan raised an eyebrow at him. "That is rather private information."
"Aww, c'mon. You know that's never stopped me." Remus grinned at him.
"Regardless, it will not encourage me to share the topic of discussion." Logan stood up as the bus stopped in front of them. Remus hopped to his feet and they stepped on together.
"I bet you'll tell me some day, when we're old and grey and I've been annoying you for years."
Logan shook his head as they took their usual seats. "I doubt it.

"Do you believe in soulmates?"
Logan did not.
