It seemed that I'd never be able to prove to Leo that he was wrong about me. First, he thought that I was a phantom or their spy and then he said that I was too fragile and useless. In all cases he didn't want me around, but I'd not give up that easily, not until I find my parents and Dean.
During the last battle, I messed up because the phantom was flying and I wasn't trained to hit goals that move, so this should be my next step. I took many days off before my first battle and I had to go back to my practices. By my own will!
I didn't wait for Carla, since she didn't show up for the practices lately. I took Natasha and went to the field alone.
It was empty since I was too early. I threw the arrows' basket on the ground and stretched for some minutes, then notched an arrow in my bow and shot the target. It was far from me that I could hardly see it but this was my plan, I had to hit the very far goals, then I'd think about how to make them move.
I wondered if Infenyans would let me haunt in the forest, even if they let me, I wouldn't hurt innocent animals. I had no other idea, though. I pushed these thoughts away and kept shooting nonstop, as I got my arrows in the goal most of the time, it motivated me a little.
I kept doing this for a couple of days, till I was finally able to shoot that red spot flawlessly, also I improved my speed in notching arrows in the bow and letting them go in just few seconds.
Now, it was time for shooting a goal with motion. I looked at the rounded target in front of me, trying to come out with some idea but nothing seemed to work.
Finally, I got it ! It looked a bit silly but I had no other choice, so I was intent on doing it.
I ran back to Anna's house to get some blankets and pillows then passed by her shop hugging them all tightly. She was focusing on her work that she didn't see me at first.
"God! You scared me." she startled as soon as her eyes landed on me.
"I am sorry," I laughed. "Can I borrow these?"
"Sure, but for what?"
"I will make a phantom."
"What?"
"Never mind." I replied and hurried to my horse.
I struggled to hold them all so I wrapped the blanket around my neck. I looked like a ghost and scared everyone in my way but I was in a hurry to think about this.
When I reached the practicing field, I tied Natasha near that one tree there then looked at the things I got with me. I gazed at them for some minutes. I wanted to make a phantom for I had two blankets and one pillow but how? My creative mind betrayed me.
At first I wanted only to throw all these at the tree and shoot them but as I said, it was a silly idea.
I looked at Natasha, that was shaking her head a lot, it seemed like the cord which she was tied in bothered her.
"Let me fix that." I smiled to her and got up to help her, she was moving a lot so I took it off.
"Better now?"
She looked satisfied. I smiled again patting her head, staring at the cord in my hand.
"Natasha, you're genius!"
I kissed her and ran with the cord to the stuff I got from Anna. I folded the two blankets with each other then linked the pillow with them by rolling the cord several times around it, and I got a Phantom. Well, the pillow was like its head and the blanket was the rest of the body. I threw the rest of the cord on the tree's branch and hanged the doll I made on it.
