War of Phantoms.

Chapter 22

After taking a break at Finn's place that was like two blinks of an eye, there we were, standing on Tsillah's land, facing her creatures. It first started with some strollers then the rest came, and I noticed that in the middle of the fight, they were pushing us backwards, like we were slowly going back to the forbidden area. I didn't know what purpose she had and I didn't give much attention because somehow, Finn stopped watching me and left to Infenya to bring some help.

Our force wasn't enough and yes, we were losing it. I started to lose faith in myself and my warriors and as always, I began to regret my life choices. This time there was something new added.. I kinda got suicidal, like I started to think about giving up and just throw my body to phantoms. I'd rather die this way than lose another time and face angry disappointed Infenyans.

These thoughts were floating around my head while the rest of my being was facing this stubborn phantom, it was so loud in the battle field, but not too loud to catch this random noises coming from another direction, something like warriors shouting and horses. I hurried and killed that creature then tried to find out what was going on out there, because firstly I thought something had happened to my team members.

I checked them with my gazes, they all were there, busy with the phantoms but behind this scene, an army was coming over_ literally. They were coming from Infenya and on the top of this army, a man on a dark horse wearing all fancy with a huge sword handled on his back.

The scar under his eye was glowing, yeah that was the king himself coming !! But for me, that was just Leo emerging in the most critical situations like before.

With no words, he got down of his horse, holding his sword and started to attack phantoms in the most professional way I'd ever seen. Then his army joined, while my team and I stood there_ just shocked with our mouths wide open.

After a while, the area almost got cleared of the ugly creatures, that's when the king stopped his work and headed my way. I knew that since I was watching him all the time while pretending to be busy. He just waited there till I got the phantom I was struggling with down, then he stared down at me with his arms crossed and that mesmerizing death glare. I awkwardly looked back at him trying to find some words to say. What would I say anyway !? "Hello, it's been a while." or "Don't get me wrong," or "Let me explain.".. I was completely lost.

He spoke first. "What are you doing here.. in my kingdom !?"

This man never changes.

But I totally understand his reaction. "Leo_" I slapped my mouth for how dumb I was. "I mean your majesty, I can explain, just give me a chance to tell you everything."

"No." That's all. He just gave me a deep No.

"just_"

"Leave my kingdom right now !!"

"But let me explain, please. It's a misunderstanding, I swear."

He showed no reaction. Alright, I knew he was disappointed but he must hear me out.

I was left with no options, so the pitiful, rebellious warrior held the sacred king's hand and walked away of that place.

Sometimes I surprise myself.

He stopped me when we got a little bit further from that noise_ inside the forest. "What do you think you are doing.. touching the king with no permission.. this will get your head cut.."

"Aw really !" I sighed. "let's just talk and then you can cut whatever you want."

"There's nothing to talk about, go back right now, just like you left."

"I know you're hurt, Leo. It's not my mistake, I swear. I was sent by force."

He looked like he wanted to know what happened real bad for a second then he made this unimpressed face.
