War of Phantoms.

Chapter 12

The archery team were there shooting them under the lead of Leo.

I stared at the dead phantoms for a moment thinking that I was in a great trouble, but how could he know that I left and was in the forbidden area?

I waited until the team shot all the phantoms then stepped back and picked up my weapons under the leader's glares. I was pretending that I didn't notice him yet, until he ordered us to leave the forbidden area instantly.

I knew I was guilty but he too was. He gave up on Anna easily and I wasn't going to do the same I was the one with all rights, not him.

I walked in silence behind him till we reached the forest and were safe far from phantoms. Leo gestured to the other warriors to go back, so they took their leave and left us alone.

I hardly gulped when he looked down at me with flames of anger in his eyes.

"You owe me an explanation." he finally said.

Confidently I raised my gaze to meet his. "For what?"

He raised an eyebrow and I could tell he was planning my murder in his head. "Why are you here?" he asked. "I told you to stay at home and wait, it was an order but you disobeyed me."

"And you gave no damn about Anna," I shouted. "She's lost. Can't you see that? Can't you understand that she's here for three days? she must be in danger_"

"Enough, Diana." he cut my speech and held my wrist violently. "You're going back. Now."

I tried to free my hand from him. "No way, I'm not going without Anna."

"You're going back, or else I'll throw you to phantoms."

"Go ahead, do it right now."

He stared down at me in a shock. I bet I made him speechless because he said nothing for a while.

"What are you waiting for?" I crossed my arms against my chest.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I'm telling you Anna is missing. I don't know where she is now or what she's doing, she could be alive or_ I don't want to lose her too."

"Fine," he sighed. "Let's just go back to the kingdom now and find a solution to this later."

"No, I'm not going without her."

"Being so stubborn is helpless."

"Okay, Mr. Perfect. I'm stubborn and helpless, but isn't this better than being heartless and give up on dear friends so easily? I used to say that it's okay, you've a trauma or something from what happened in the past and you keep acting like shit because you've responsibilities. But now, you've no excuse to act like this, Anna is a part of your responsibility too, you've to care about her."

"Diana. You don't understand." now he was so calm and I became the one who's scolding. I was burning from the inside since his attitude became unbearable.

"I do understand it so well. I understand that you're a heartless bastard who's way too paranoid and_"

I didn't finish my sentence because what happened next got my mind blown.

Leo held my arm and pulled me to him intensely. In a split second, he placed his hand on my jaw and crashed his lips into mine. he kissed me! His lips were on mine! My brain was empty, my body was dead and the butterflies in my stomach went haywire. I could feel nothing else except for the smoothness of his lips against mine and the way he tasted.

It didn't take too long before we broke apart. My breath was instable and my heart_ maybe got exploded already.

He stepped back and when his eyes met mine he said. "You're so loud."
