Chapter 19

I took a deep breath and got in the living room. Unexpectedly, they were sitting there quietly. Some of them were chatting and stopped when they saw me getting in. I felt uncomfortable under their gazes, but I held myself.

"I didn't know that our leader could be this pretty." the taller one suddenly commented.

I smiled awkwardly. "Jed, right?"

He nodded proudly.

"Yes, you're so pretty, but do you have anything to eat, we're starving?" that was the brown skinned boy, Xeno I guess.

"Xeno, shut up." the curvy girl with the curly red hair replied. "That's the first thing you tell to our leader!"

"But I'm hungry." he complained.

"You're always hungry." this should be Enus, since he had glasses.

Remembering their names would be difficult.

I looked around the room, the shy girl was like she was sitting inside an eggshell, hiding herself in her hood. The rude one was sitting confidently, legs and arms crossed, staring at the others like they were all dumb and she was the only smart one. And the rest were arguing about the first topic.

"People," I called nervously. "Before that, I need to recognize you and memorize your names."

They all went silent as I started. "So the tall guy is Jed," he nodded. "The one with glasses is Xeno?"

"Enus." he corrected.

"Ah, sorry, Enus. So the hungry one is Xeno."

"She had the access to a great knowledge calling you like this, Xeno." the redhead laughed.

"And you're Chan, right?"

She grinned. "Right."

"Umm," I looked at the two girls. "The blond is Judith and the other is Allie?"

"The other?" Allie repeated sarcastically.

"She just denied your existence, Allie." Enus commented.

She glared at him making both of us regret what we said.

"I didn't mean that," I began to explain myself. "I was just trying to distinguish between you two."

She remained silent which made me regret it even harder.

"Alright boys and girls, let's feed you first before starting."

Okay, Diana. You're screwed.

After the lunch, they headed back to the living room, when I was trying to find a way to explain the whole thing to them. I took a while observing them, would they be able to handle this? Were they well trained?

The more I looked at them, the more childish they seemed_ except Allie and Judith, who isolated themselves. I could tell that Allie hated everyone already, and Judith was too awkward. This would make things difficult since we needed a team work here.

Anyway, I took my seat in the middle trying to sound 23 years old_ for real.

"So," I interrupted their chat. "You know why you're here, I suppose."

"Me, me!" Xeno raised his hand as if he was in a class.

"Yes, Xeno."

"The healer told us that we're chosen for a secret mission in the forbidden area with our secret leader."

So now they call Finn healer.

"Is that all what he said?" I questioned.

"I tried to sum it up."
