*Steve's point of view*

Last Night was the best party I have ever been to. Tony made sure everything was perfect, how could anything not be perfect with Natasha by my side or in my arms? She makes me smile just by looking at me. I loved the feeling that I could just swing her around in front of me and Kiss her. I loved the fact that we didn't have to hide anymore, 5 months of hiding can really get annoying! We had to act normal in public and all I wanted to do was hold her hand in mine.

Once the party was over, me and Nat went back to my apartment and sat on the sofa. We sat in the same position as we did earlier on in the day, staring out the window with Natasha's head on my chest so she could face the window as well. Everything was perfect. It was one of the best nights I have ever had. I kissed Natasha's head and I held her tight in my arms, never wanting to let go. I realised after a while that Nat fell asleep. I picked her up bridal style and layed her down on the bed.

I walked around to the other side of the bed and without any assistance or help from me, Natasha moved back and layed her head in my arms. I saw a smile appear on her face as I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her in closer. I fell asleep after moments of Natasha being in my arms.

*Natasha's point of view*

I woke up to a familiar warm feeling in my body. Steve. I felt his arms wrapped around my waist and his soft and steady breathes on my neck. I want to wake up to this every morning. I managed to turn my body around in Steve's arms so I could face him. He looked adorable while he slept, his messy hair, his even breathes, his soft skin. I took a second to admire him before I placed a soft kiss on his lips.

I wriggled my way out of Steve's grasp and walked out to the balcony. I sat on a chair there was layed out, they came in a set with another chair and a small garden table. The view was astonishing. The sun rising over the New York City skyline made me smile. I can't believe I'm this lucky! My life started off awfully, torture and training, torture and training. That was my life for 15 years until Clint came and rescued me. Now look at me, I am in a relationship with the Love of My Life and I have friends all around me. My Ex is long gone, in a prison somewhere.

*RING RING*

Whose calling at this time of the morning? I stood up from the amazing view and got my phone off the table. The name read Clint so I answered it.
"Hey Clint, why are you up this early? You don't usually get up till 12!" I said, making myself laugh at his laziness. But he didn't laugh back.
"Nat, we have a problem. Is Steve awake?" His voice sounded... sympathetic? Why was he sorry?
"No, he's still asleep! What's happened?" I asked, worry seeping into my voice.
"Its Bruce."
"Bruce?! Bruce is in Prison!! He left this morning remember?!"
"He may have left but he never arrived." I went quiet. I was speechless. Why hadn't he arrived? What happened? "Nat? Are you still there? Nat! Right, I'm coming over!" I couldn't gather the words to reply to him. I couldn't stop him coming over because I had no words in my system.

The door opened and Clint saw me sitting up straight on the couch, staring at the wall. He walked over and sat next to me. He put his hand around me and I put my head on his shoulder. I felt a tear drop from my eyes. And another, and another, until I was sobbing so much that I was shaking.
"We're going to get him." Clint spoke, softly.
"How? He hid from everyone for 4 years, no one knew where he was! He isn't going to show his face to anyone until he gets... he gets ... me." I said the last bit very quietly but Clint still heard me.
"I refuse to let him get you. Ever." Clint said and Steve appeared at the door frame still rubbing his eyes. Once he clocked that I was crying, he ran over and sat the other side of me.
"What happened?! You should've woken me up!!" He said to me as I switched to his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me and I cried even more, knowing that I'm not safe. Anywhere. He can get me and take me from Steve. No one will be able to stop him.
"Bruce escaped from prison." Clint said, with his hand placed on my knee.
"WHAT?!" Steve shouted. "How did he get away?!"
"The hulk came out." Clint said.
"Natasha," he turned his body and I looked directly into the blue ocean orbs that lay on his face. "He is not going to get you."
"He is not going to get you." I said quietly. I don't think Steve realised my idea.
"Exactly, he is not going to get you because I will be by your side. Through everything."
"Okay." I said and Steve looked puzzled.
"Okay?"
"Okay."
He pulled me in for a hug and held me tight. Clint said that I was going to be fine as well and then left so he could sort a few things out. I placed my head on Steve's chest. I enjoyed his company much more than I have before so I can remember him. I want to remember his every breathe.

For tomorrow, I'm leaving New York alone.
