*Natasha's point of view*

It killed me. That whole speech. I broke down while saying it! I felt a part of myself die with our relationship. I saw him start crying and I felt like such a cow. I felt hope fade from me. I know it broke him as much as it did me but I can't be with someone I don't trust. I think he understood though. When I turned to face him, he nodded and put his head back against the wall but he didn't say anything. He just sat there with tears rolling down his cheeks, staring at the wall. It hurt both of us but I need some time.

Maybe in time, I can get back with him! Or maybe in time, he moves on. He'll get tired of waiting and move on. Who wants to wait for me anyways?! I'm a no good deadly assassin who shouldn't even be feeling anything, let alone love someone!!

We sat for hours without talking. Only the sound of sniffing our noses from crying and sobbing. I coughed a few times which hurt like hell but it was worth it to try to not have a major attack or breakdown in front of my now Ex-boyfriend. Ergh! I hated this!

I sniffed back the tears and I regained my sense of smell! But the smell seemed awfully familiar. I hadn't smelled a lot over the last few months due to my nose being blocked from crying. It smelt like... gunfire...and... smoke... but why?
"Can you smell that?" Steve broke the silence and said the exact thing I was thinking.
"Yeah, but I dont know what it is." I replied. I furrowed my eyebrows trying to work out the smell, but the noise of gunfire confirmed my suspicions.

The noise was quiet at first. It was distant. An attack from afar. But it got closer. Louder. Closer. Louder. Until it was just a few meters away from the building. Steve moved closer to me and soon we were a metre away from eachother staring at the wall. If the wall were to be knocked down, we would be able to tell who was winning. Steve was as confused as I was. What was going on? Were they attacking them? Were they trying to attack us? Were they rescuing us? Were they trying to kill us? Questions circled my head as I heard the sound of grenades and more gunfire. Guards were yelling in Russian "OPEN FIRE! OPEN FIRE!" Who were they firing at?! "COVER ME!" Cover from what?! "THEY ARE TOO STRONG! WE CAN'T BEAT THE-" He obviously didn't get a chance to finish before he was killed. Smoke filled the room as some form of bomb blew off just a few metres away from the wall we were facing. I coughed at the strong scent and some how Steve's hand was on my back trying to calm me down. It kind of did but I still pulled away from him, I knew he knew I was serious about this separation but it could have just been instinct.

The noise was dying down. Less bullets were fired. Less smoke filled the room and it was starting to fade out of the room. I sat heavy breathing with Steve doing the same thing. Who was winning? We were about to find out.

All of a sudden the noise died out.

Silence.

I heard the voice of someone that I recognised anywhere but I couldn't be too sure.

"5, 4, 3, 2.."

A loud noise deafened my ears and a huge explosion knocked out the wall in front of us. I ducked and Steve covered me. I wasn't in the mood to push him away, besides I had other things on my mind, like who the hell is blowing up the wall?! Dust and smoke filled the room and the intense light blinded my eyes. Two silhouettes appeared at where the wall would've been just over 10 seconds ago. One was big, didn't really look human but the other one definitely did. I knew who they were instantly.

"STEVE!" The big silhouette shouted and ran to Steve. A man in a metal suit. Anthony Stark. And for the other guy? He was frozen. Shocked. He slowly walked over just a few metres away from me.
"Nat?" Clint said.

*Clint's point of view*

The wall exploded from the bombs me and Tony put on it. Dust filled the room we worked out Steve must have been in when I got the shock of my life. Two pairs of eyes stared at us. One was blue. Steve. Tony ran to him and kneeled by his side. Then he realised what I saw. Two Forest-green eyes stared up at me. It can't be.
"Nat?" I walked closer and it came clearer. She.. that is... she is... that..
"CLINT!" She yelled and I ran over and hugged her tightly. Tears were streaming down my face and they were streaming down hers as well. I felt her wince when I hugged her, 5 seconds after, I let go of her and saw an image that will stick with me forever. She was covered in cuts and bruises. Her shoulder was out of place, and her foot was clearly broken.
"Jesus Christ! What did they do to you?!" I yelled and she just stared at me, astonished. "Natasha?!" I brought her back into reality.
"Sorry... I didn't come back... I should have come back... I missed you." She said as she broke down into tears. I hugged her again and she felt like eyes. She didn't seem right. She was so emotional. She seemed broken? Why was she broken? She had Steve here!
"Come on, I've got to get you out of here." I picked her up, bridal style and Tony helped Steve stand. Nat was lighter them I remember, how long has she been here?!

She just cried into my shoulder as we walked back to the QuinJet. We walked passed all the unconscious and dead bodies on the floor and thankfully Natasha didn't see any of them. We walked on to the jet and I layed her down on a few seats on the jet and I crouched beside her. Tony went to the pilot seat and got the jet in the air as I tried my best to patch up as many wounds as I could. Steve sat on the opposite side of the jet and stared into space. What was he doing?! She is clearly in pain!!

I looked in to her eyes and saw pain. Pain on the inside. I hated her like this. I've seen her like this before but never as bad as this. She was physically and mentally in pain. But why WAS she in pain Mentally?

After I patched her up and got her shoulder back into its position, Natasha layed with her head on my chest. Steve was asleep on the other side of the plane, he hasn't spoken to her once! What kind of boyfriend is he?! They both looked broken. What's happened?

We arrived back to the tower. Steve walked out of the jet and straight down the corridor that led to the stairs. Steve walked straight passed Sharon who was the one bugging us to find him when we realised he had gone. Sharon ran after him and they disappeared round a corner. Why was she so worried? Steve hasn't even spoken to Natasha! He just avoided her at all costs! What the hell happened to these two?!
