Chapter 2: Announcement

*Steve's Point of View*

After 2 hours of staring out the window with the woman of my dreams in my arms, we both got up when we heard a knock at the door. I got up and opened the door to reveal Tony.
"Hey Steve, hi Nat." Tony said, wondering into the apartment.
"Hi Tony." Nat said, smiling and standing up to give Tony a friendly hug.
"What brings you to us?" I asked, trying my best to be friendly as well.
"Well, I managed to get all the Avengers to the tower at 6. I told them that there was an update on Nat's disappearance and told them to come round. They are on their way now." Tony said, he had a confident look on his face, like he was proud of what he had accomplished.
"Thank you, Tony, I didnt think they'd answer to me." I said. I was so excited to announce our relationship to the team so we can be open.
"Well, its 5 o'clock so you guys better get ready and Steve, you better get to the conference room. Nat, as soon as your ready, come to the room next to the conference room but try not to get seen. I can't wait for this!" Tony squealed as he walked out the door. He seemed more excited than we do!

I walked over to Natasha, who stood up in front of me and put her hands around my neck and I put my hands around her waist.
"You ready for this?" Her eyes showed me excitement, my eyes returned the same feeling.
"With you? Always." We both had smiles stretching our faces. Natasha stood up on her toes and I bent down a bit and kissed her soft lips. She returned the favour and let go 5 seconds after.
"I love you." She said as she stepped back to go get into her position.
"I love you too." I said and her smile grew. She walked straight passed me and I turned around and watched her leave the apartment. Before the door closed, she caught me staring and smirked at me. The door shut and I was alone. Maybe I'll turn up early to the announcement.

After about 30 minutes of drinking coffee, having a shower and tidying the apartment, I decided to head down to the conference room. As I left the apartment and locked the door, I saw Clint heading towards the elevator.
"Hey Steve! You ready for this?" He asked, Clint seemed so excited.
"Of course! I can't wait to tell everyone." I said. I was so excited but I was also nervous, I haven't met some of these people, what if they don't approve? Clint saw I was nervous.
"Don't be nervous. They are all going to love you and I'm sure they will all be happy for you two." He said, smiling.
The elevator pinged and the doors opened, we walked out of the elevator and headed towards conference room. There were already loads of people sitting around the table and me and Clint took a seat next to Carol, at least that's what he called her, and Pietro, I think that's Pietro because Wanda called him 'bro' when we walked in.

The clock strikes 6pm and my heart was racing. I was so scared, all the people I didn't know were staring at me and whispering. What if they don't approve? Tony walked in wearing a black suit and a red tie, always dressed as if he was attending a wedding. He took a seat at the end of the table, he saw me and winked and me. It was a small gesture but it did calm me down a bit.

"Come on Tony! I've been sitting here for half and hour!" Carol yelled, she had a playful smile plastered across her face.
"You shouldn't have arrived early then, should you?" He smiled, making Carol just roll her eyes. "Rhodey, Vision and Pietro! I'm glad you can join us! Thor, glad you can join us from Asburg."
"ASGARD!" Thor looked very pissed off.
"Whatever." Tony rolled his eyes. "Bucky, Nick, Maria. Glad you can trek down from SHIELD. Pepper, I apologise for not telling you about what's about to happen." Pepper looked at Tony confused and Tony looked back guiltily.
"Can we please just get on with the meeting?" Carol asked, looking bored. Me and Clint fully agreed, we were both so so bored and tired from the fight earlier today.
"Fine. So, as you all know, Natasha went missing two weeks ago. We have found some developments towards her disappearance." Tony stood up and walked over to the door. He stood at the door and I nodded as if to show that I was ready. He eventually knocked on the door and walked back to sit down.

The door opened and revealed the woman of my dreams.

*Natasha's Point of View*

"NATASHA?!" Everyone shouted, all their faces, except Steve's, Clint's and Tony's, looked shocked, confused and relieved.
"Who else would I be?" I said, I used a cocky and sarcastic voice with a hint of happiness. Carol and Pepper both stood up and gave me a hug, I'm so thankful to have them. Wanda looked at me and smiled.
"Natasha! You really are a pain, you know that?!" Steve. Steve looked at me and smiled, he was so cute.
"Oh, I know!" I said, returning his smile.
"Care to explain where the hell you went?" Pietro said, he seemed worried about me. I'm so thankful to have coworkers like these. They were all smiling.
"Yes, Natasha, please tell us where you were!" Tony said, he was not good at hiding his smile and his laughter.
I looked at him with a 'Really?' Expression and he replied with a 'Yes!' Expression. I rolled my eyes and took a seat next to Tony. This was it. Everyone is going to know.

"Two weeks ago, once I left the care unit, Bruce threw me around like a ragdoll." Everyone's facial expression changed to worry and anger.
"Why the hell did he do that?!" Carol yelled, she looked ready to punch the daylights out of anyone.
"I'll get to that. Anyway, I thought to myself that hiding from him would be the best idea and that's what I did. I've been in hiding and I recovered from my injuries, thanks to a few friends." Wanda, Clint, Tony and Steve smiled to themselves. "But today, I confronted Bruce and he is currently in one of the cells below. He is being moved to the underwater prison tomorrow morning."
"I always hated Bruce!" Carol said, very annoyed by the events that occurred.
"So do we!" I said, wait, What did I say?
"WE?!" Wanda, Clint and Carol yelled. Wanda and Clint were along with the scheme and as soon as they heard we, they decided to play along. I looked at Steve who started to Blush.
"Yes." I said. I smiled at Steve and he blushed even more. "We."
"You.. you have a ... boyfriend?" Thor looked shocked. His eyebrows furrowed.
"Maybe." I said, an uncontrollable smirk spread across my face and every single girl in the room stood up and ran over to me.
"Oh My God!! You have a Boyfriend! Who is it?! Is he nice? Is he strong? How fit is he?! We need details." Pepper yelled in my ear.
"Well, he is nice, he is strong and he is DEFINITELY fit. He is the man of my dreams and I can never keep my eyes off him." I stared directly into Steve's eyes. He looked into mine and he smiled. In sync, all the women looked from me, to Steve and back to me.
"Oh." Pepper said.
"My." Carol said.
"God." Maria said.
They knew. I stood up from my chair and walked around to sit next to Steve. He watched me walk around to him lovingly and instead of sitting next to him. I decided to wrap my arms around his neck from behind.

The women stood still. Their jaws were by their feet. There was an awkward silence. Until Carol broke it.
"THE BLACK WIDOW AND CAPTAIN AMERICA! STEVE AND NATASHA!! IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!!!" Carol sprinted around and squeezed the both of us tight. All the other women ran round and hugged us as well. Once we were released, Steve stood up and walked over to the group of guys, they all patted his back and shook his hand. He was so happy. I was surrounded by the women who were all screaming with happiness.
"I'm so glad you found someone!" Pepper said, she hugged me again.

Finally, everyone went back to their seat and sat down.
"So, how long have you two been together?" Bucky asked.
"5 months." I said and everyone's face dropped.
"5 MONTHS AND YOU HAVEN'T TOLD ANYONE?!" Maria yelled.
"Well, I found out. Clint and Wanda have also known." Tony said, he had a smug look on his face until Pepper punched him hard in the arm.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" Pepper squealed.
"They wanted to keep the circle small and I only found out by accident!" Tony said, rubbing his arm.
"This must be why Bruce... Bruce did them things." Carol said, looking down at the ground.
"Yeah, he sussed us out. That's why I went into hiding at Steve's." I said.
"We shall have a celebration! Tonight, at 9pm! Everyone be at the banquet hall!" Tony said. Any excuse for a party.

Everyone went back to their rooms to get ready for the celebration. Me and Steve walked back to the apartment, hand in hand. I heard people behind us saying "They're so cute together!" Steve looked at me and I moved closer to him. We got to the apartment and we sat on the couch.
"That went well!" Steve said, looking so happy. I loved it when he smiled so much, it looked like his face would tear in half.
"I love you." I said, putting my head on his shoulder.
"I love you too" Steve kissed my forehead. I love him so much.
