*Natasha's point of view*
The wall got boring after a while. I just stared at it, waiting for the man to speak. I wanted to know who he was but I was scared to look. I was in the darkest corner of the cell so he probably couldn't see me turning to look at him. So let's try it. I slowly tilted my body.
Its... its... Steve! Steve! Steven Grant Rogers is here! Wait, why is he here!? He needs to get out of here! His blonde hair dangled over his perfect face as he stared out the small window in the corner of the room. His ocean blue eyes were as blue as ever. I just want to run into his arms but he probably would push me away. After all, I have been gone for 6 months.
I decided to act like I don't know him, let's try and trick him into guessing it's me. I put on an accent and made sure to keep my face in the dark.
"Who's the girl?" I asked in my russian accent. Steve's never heard me even talk russian or he hasn't heard my accent before. When I moved to america, I picked up the American accent quickly and soon, it became my everyday.
"How do you know?" His voice was one of a god. This was definitely Steve. He had confusion and annoyance in his voice, this is good, he doesn't recognise me.
"I used to be a spy before I got tangled up in this mess. I know exactly what Love feels and looks like." I said. I knew what love felt like because of him.
"How long have you been here?" He asked. He seemed interested.
"4 months. I ask again. Who is she?" I repeated. I heard him sigh and huff.
"She's great. She's wonderful. She suffers so much everyday but I'm the only one who can see it." A smile spread across my face.
"You sound like your in love. Does she love you back?" I asked, hiding my excitement.
"I'm sure she does. We've been together only a month though." Wait. What? He... he moved on. I wanted him to but I didn't expect him to. My smile shrank and I moved closer into the corner.
"What's her name?" I ask, holding back the tears.
"Sharon." He has moved on. "She asked me out a few weeks ago and I said yes because I've started to like her and she knows how hard it's been for me to get over my dead girlfriend." Dead girlfriend? Wait that must be me!
"Dead Girlfriend?" I ask, curiously, it had to have been me.
"Natasha. She left me 6 months ago for a mission and she never came back so we assumed she was dead. It was actually her funeral Sharon asked me out at." Keep calm, Natasha, keep calm. How could he do this? I thought he would've waited. It's only been 6 months and I couldn't contact him. It's my fault.
"Did you love Natasha?" I ask, holding back the tears.
"I'm not sure." How can you not be sure?! You told me numerous times that you loved me and now your not sure?! Stay calm. Stay calm.I stayed quite for a bit. I'm not sure he noticed me silently sobbing. He didn't love me. Those 5 months were a lie. Why did he say it so many times?! It had no meaning! I thought he really did love me. What an idiot I am. He never loved me. He may have liked me but most boys like me. I guess no one can love the Black Widow.
I heard footsteps approach me and I knew it was him. I hid my face in my knees while he took a seat next to me.
"What's up?" He asked, placing hand on my shoulder. I winced in pain and he pulled away. "What did they do to you?" He seemed genuinely worried. If he knew who I was I'm sure he wouldn't feel the same.
"WHY DO YOU CARE?!" My anger was uncontrollable and I raised my face and looked at him.*Steve's point of view*
I saw she was sobbing in the corner so I walked over to her and sat next to her. She hid her face from me so I still had no idea who this woman was or why I was drawn to her.
"What's up?" I asked, I tried to comfort her by placing a hand on her shoulder but she winced in pain. I saw all the cuts and bruises all over her small frail body. It hit me. She had been tortured for the last 4 months. "What did they do to you?" I was shocked. I heard worry seeping into my voice as I stared at her body, bewildered. Why was her body so familiar?
"WHY DO YOU CARE?!" She shouted and made me jump. She raised her head in anger and looked me directly in the eyes.Forest-green eyes. Forest-green eyes. This can't be right. I looked around her bruised face and noticed cuts surrounding her face and shoulders. Over her shoulders, red hair shined in the light she was now in. It was. It was her. It was-
"Natasha?" I whispered. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was really her. I gently put my hand on her cheek, but she hit it away. Why did she hit it away. She crawled to the other side of the room, Where she sat in the corner crying. I was frozen.
"I don't know who you think I am but I'm not them." She spoke. Her voice cracking but it was definitely Natasha's voice. I stood up and walked over to her. She just looked at me.
"Don't lie." I said. I smiled slightly. She was alive. Natasha Romanoff is alive! She stared back up at me but she was angry.
"I could tell you the same thing." She spat. She broke I contact and stared at the wall.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I said, annoyed by the fact that she didn't care that she left for 6 months. "You left me there in the airport. It's been 6 months and we've heard nothing from you. What sort of game are you playing? Why are you annoyed at me?!" I yelled, she didn't flinch she just grew angrier and angrier. I sat on my knees next to her as I awaited her answer. She took a deep breath and began talking.
"5 months." She said quietly. "We spent 5 months together. They were the best months of my life. And everyday, you told me you loved me. I remember it clear as day because your the only person I have ever said I love you to." Tears filled her eyes and started rolling down her cheeks. "So, why did you lie to me? You told me you loved me and you wanted to spend the rest of your life with me by your side, and now you don't even know if you love me. 5 months. 5 months of lies. It was full lies anyway, but you made the worst one. I never thought youd lie to me. The person I trusted most in the world and you threw it back in my face."
"Nat, I didn't lie. I love you-" she interrupted me. She managed to stand up but leaning against the wall.
"Save it, Steve." She began limping to the door. "Save it for Sharon. Just don't lie to me anymore. Go. Break out of this hell but please leave me here. Go back to Sharon and tell her all the things you told me. Tell her that I'm actually dead. Tell her she can have you. We're through. Enjoy your life, Liar." She knocked on the door, tears staining her face. I was frozen.
"Natasha, don't do this." I pleaded but the door opened.
"You did it when you told me you loved me. Don't do the same thing to Sharon." She said and she was dragged out of the cell and the door slammed behind her.I told her about Sharon. I told her I didn't know if I ever loved her. Of course I loved her. She was the only woman for me! And she just ended everything. I ended everything.
End of Reunion
