Angelina Prudence

I usually get a ride to school but for some reason I felt like walking. The sun was warm on my cheeks, as my black kimono was blowing in the wind behind me. When I got to school, I stood next to the parking lot waiting for my minions. Erica pulled up with Brittany in her black Volkswagen, that's when Erica's door swung open and she practically started running at me screaming, "I have TEA!"

I rolled my eyes back while giving Erica and Brittney a half hug. "What is it now?" Looking at my nails. "Angelina, remember when last night I was telling you that my phone was blowing up," Erica stated wide eyed. "Yea, what about it?" "Well rumor has it that we have two new transfer students from Calabasas, California, Calab Davenport and Maya Davenport. Their mother was arrested for murder and their dad got transferred to the same law firm that Ace's father owns."

This is useful information on many fronts, but I need MORE. I must know every single detail about these two. I run a tight ship at Ravenwood High and doing so means I know every dirty detail about students I deem important to my reign. "Mkay, good. This tea is very good. Erica anything else?" She looks away from her phone, "Yes and I heard that Caleb is into acting and dance." "Go and find out more about both of them. As for you Brittney, go figure out if either of them are in our grade and get me their schedules." I put on my Gucci shades and flip my hair. As I patted them both on the shoulder and proceed to walk into the building, "Good talk ladies."

I quickly made my way to the office and started to work my charm on the receptionist. "Hi Sheila," I said to the lady at the front desk with a fake smile. "OMG," I screech, "Your nails are just sooooo cute. Where did you get them done?" I said looking at Sheila trying to give her more compliments. Brittney walks past us and towards the filing cabinet. "I got them done downtown. I can get you the address if you'd like." I lean over the desk with a smile, "Please do." She starts to look through her desk for a post-it while I mouth to Brittney, HURRY UP! She finally picks up two folders slipping them in her purse then walks out. Sheila adjusts her glasses and hands me the address. "Thank you darling for your service," I say batting my eyelashes and waving goodbye.

As I meet Brittney in the hall, I look over the schedules of both students. I storm back into the office, "Hey Sheila, can you change my schedule along with Erica and Brittney? We want to take gym first period," She looks up at me startled, "Umm I don't know if I can do that," I slam my hands on desk, "Why not?" She begins to stutter, "I just-, It's not very possible without authoriza-," "Here's authorization, I practically fund this school, I keep the lights on. You see those checks you take home every Friday there could easily be a shortage if my schedules not changed. DO IT!" She starts typing on her keyboard and next thing I know there were three new schedules handed back to me. "Thanks honey, I'll try to remember to give you a bonus for your cooperation." I slam the office door shut.

As I was checking my schedule I realized that gym class started now. I headed inside the gym while Erica and Brittney trailed behind me. I started to scan the room for an unfamiliar face. That's when I noticed him. He had dark brown curls and a face full of freckles with a cute smirk. That's when the gym teacher said, "Everyone get up against the wall now, we're playing dodgeball today. Can I get Angelina and Caleb as team captains?"

Caleb and I stood next to the gym teacher, then Caleb started to pick his team. Whoever was left was placed on my team. I honestly didn't care who was on my team, I'm good as long as I don't have that rat on my team. That's when I noticed how Caleb was looking at Cylyss, his eyes were observing her every move. OMG, what do these guys see in her? I had to make a move and fast. The gym teacher blew the whistle and the game began.

The game got heated very quickly and I was not going to let Cylyss win. I was dodging balls left to right and I was kinda having fun. On my team there were 3 boys left plus me I was reaching over to grab a ball that's when a red ball came out of nowhere and knocked me out.

I opened my eyes slightly and started to move my fingers and legs to make sure that they were still intact. I laid on the floor very still hoping that Caleb would walk over to me to make sure that I was ok. That's when Erica screamed with her annoying voice. Can this girl be any more dramatic? That's when Caleb started to walk over to me while saying, "Give her space."

Caleb picked me up with his muscular arms, let's just say he works out. He made his way to the nurses office while Erica and Brittany talked his poor ears to death. I opened my eyes to take a quick peek, then I noticed Caleb got up and started to walk out. I scanned my mind trying to find something to say to keep him from leaving. I opened my mouth and in a small whisper saying, "Don't go." "What did you say?" Caleb said turning around. "Don't go," I said again putting more force into my voice. "Ok, I won't leave your side." Caleb said taking a seat next to the pullout couch.

The school nurse walked in with her clipboard and started to slap my legs off the couch just as I was getting comfortable. "GET UP,  Angelina, you'll live. Your parents didn't sign the nurse slip saying that I have permission to give you medication. Just drink water and your headache should go away." She turns and looks at Caleb, "Are you her boyfriend?" Eyeing him up and down, before he could say anything, she opened her big mouth and said, "You can walk her to class."  She turned around and left. Her comment gave me an idea.

As Caleb started to gather his things, I cleared my throat and started to speak. "As the welcome committee president, I would like it very much if you were able to come to the back to school dance that we're having tonight. It starts at 8:00 and ends when you want it to. Be there." Before he could answer, I walk off to class, knowing he hated seeing me leave but loved to watch me go.
