When Caleb left the room without letting me finish hurt a little. In my head all I could think about was how much I hurt Ace. I just cheated on him. Whether or not I want to pursue Caleb, I can't do that while being in a relationship. The kiss was honestly breathtaking. When we pulled away, I heard the faint sound of heels running away. I began to think it was Angelina or one of her friends and knew I have to tell Ace about the kiss. He's going to be terribly angry but at least he heard the truth from me.

As I walk back into the dance, I wanted to let Logan know I wasn't feeling well. But then I saw Caleb with Angelina andI REALLY didn't feel well. His hands touching her the same way he touched me a few minutes ago. Clearly I'm easy to replace. They both leave and I find Logan soon after. "Hey I'm going home, I feel sick." He looked worried, "Do you want me to give you a ride?" I vigorously shake my head, "No that won't be necessary. I'm going to take the bus." He embraced me and whispered, "Text me when you get home so I know you're safe." I smile and head out of the gymnasium doors.

I bump shoulders with a girl in a purple mask with a matching dress. "I'm sorry," I immediately apologize. She gives me a smile and walks back into the gym not saying anything. Weird much? I reach the bus stop and hop on. I made the decision to go to his house. After 2 buses and a train ride later, I finally reach his neighborhood. I sneak into Aces backyard and text him.

Me: Are you home?

Ace: Yea, why?

Me: Look out your window.

I see his blinds shuffle open and see the smile I fell in love with. When we first started dating I would sneak through the back because his parents aren't exactly fond of me. When he opened the back door we snuck up the stairs and I waved hello to the maid washing the dishes. She smiled and continued her work.

When we got up to his room I saw a few trophies and college letters. Ace is pretty high in demand. My main focus tonight is telling him about the kiss. He looks through his drawers and pulls out a pair of grey sweatpants along with a hoodie. "You were shivering when you came in so if you want to change you can go ahead." He's so considerate and I feel like I'm about to break his heart.  "Thanks," I said taking the grey hoodie and sweatpants from him and walked into the bathroom. That's when Ace said "Are you serious," but I just ignored him and continued to lock the bathroom door. When Ace and I started dating one thing that I was not comfortable with was him seeing me naked or in a bra and underwear. I'm a bit insecure so I just try to keep to myself a bit. He wasn't happy about the fact that I wasn't comfortable yet, but he respected it and that's a big reason why I fell in love with him.

When I came out of the bathroom, I took a seat on his bed and grabbed a hold of his hand. I took a deep breath, "Ace, I have to tell you something but please promise you won't be mad." Ace looked at me and said, "I promise." "At the dance, I had a talk with Caleb and at first I walked into it thinking he's just trying to make friends. But once he started talking I was beginning to realize that maybe I was sending him the wrong message. I got really nervous and-," He stops me, "Cy, get to the point." "He kissed me..."

We sat in silence for a while. It was very uncomfortable and I felt like it lasted forever. "I'm sorry, WHAT?" He finally said. We started to talk over each other and I just stopped to listen to what he had to say. "YOU THINK YOU WERE SENDING MIXED SIGNALS AND HE JUST KISSED YOU. YOU LEFT THE DANCE TO SOME SECLUDED AREA AND CHEATED ON ME. I HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT TRY TO BE THERE FOR YOU AND ALL YOU'VE BEEN DOING IS PUSH ME AWAY! THIS NEW GUY COMES ALONG AND HE JUST SO HAPPENED TO KISS YOU! I'M TIRED SERIOUSLY." He begins to calm down after his little rant and I start to think about all of his points. He right. I've done nothing but make him feel like a terrible boyfriend and then the tears came. They just overwhelmed me as I thought about everything. I kissed Caleb back and I should've done more to show I wasn't available.

He turns to look at me and I see him soften again. He wraps his arms around me and I cry harder. It hurts to know that I hurt him. I truly don't deserve him and I'm practically breaking him. "Baby, stop crying, please. I'm livid about what happened, but we'll get through it. If you want to spend the night you can, I'll get settled on the ground."
