After venturing down Cerulean Hill, Sarah ran home and packed everything into a small bag. She was about to close the door of her house when her Parents called to her.
.
“Sarah! What are you up to?” Her mother asked.
.
“I’m sorry, Mum, but I’m going to travel around Kanto with Sam and his friend. I don’t want to go to Hoenn!”
.
Surprisingly, her mother smiled. “Don’t worry, we understand. We had expected this to happen. We’ll tell Olivia when she returns home.”
.
“Thanks, Mum.” Sarah said, hugging her. She turned to her father and similarly hugged him.
.
“Have fun, dear.” Her father grinned.
.
Sarah nodded, and ran towards me and Aaron. She waved one final time, before we set off on our journey to Vermillion City.

Meanwhile…
.
“The Boy is alive?!” Nightshroad yelled.
.
“Yes, sir.” The Team Galactic grunt replied. “Our scouts saw him leaving Cerulean City.”
.
“Damn it all…I bet this was Aaron’s fault, wasn’t it?!” Nightshroad angrily muttered. “Next time I see him, I’ll make sure to finish the fight that I let him walk away from.”
.
Nightshroad recomposed himself, and turned to the Team Galactic member. “Tell Commander Neptune to prepare a team for immediate departure to Vermillion City. Do not waste time!”
.
“Yes, sir!” The grunt saluted, and ran out of the door, leaving Nightshroad to his own thoughts once more.
.
“The time is near. We have nearly extracted the power from the Light and Dark Orbs. I have waited too long for this moment, and shall not let you stop me, Sam. From now on, I’ll use every ounce of my power to crush you. You will not stop me!”

“Vermillion City: "The Port of Exquisite Sunsets"! Amazing…” Sarah excitedly told us.
.
Having Sarah travel us had proved to be a good idea. While walking in between Cities with Aaron had been silent, with neither of us really talking, me and Sarah had talked continuously since leaving Cerulean City. It felt like a breath of fresh air having her with us.
.
We quickly travelled to the Gym, which seemed completely out of place in a place known as having “exquisite sunsets”. While much of Vermillion City was built to reflect the sunlight that beamed down on this city all day long, this Gym was extremely dark, and was painted completely black.
.
The inside of the Gym wasn’t much different – the lights had been turned out, therefore making it very hard to see anything at all.
.
“Is that new challengers I hear? Hehehehhee…” A voice giggled in the shadows.
