Kristy woke up feeling strange; she got up and went to wash her face. As she was getting ready, her dress didn't fit.

She gasps. "Oh, what was that?" She placed her hand on her belly. "Elvin!" She ran back out of the bathroom. Elvin woke up and stood panicking.

"What?" He looked around. "Are we under attack?"

"No," Kristy said. "But I feel something moving in me," she grabbed his hands and placed them on her belly. "Do you feel that?"

He moved his hand along her belly. "Why is it moving like that?"

"I don't know," she said. "We should ask Kat; perhaps she knows why my belly is moving."

Elvin nodded. "Let's go."

After getting ready, Kristy follows Elvin downstairs they told everyone about her moving belly. "Oh," Marla smiled. "I think you're pregnant; you see when vampires have babies, their belly grow, rapidly, in two weeks you're going to give birth."

"But how?" Kristy frowned. "I don't understand how I got pregnant, so, easily, why didn't I the first time Elvin and I made love?"

"Because," Kat appeared. "You weren't a vampire, and it's not always on the first try, but from what I know, you got pregnant when Elvin was in beast mode, before you two where captured."

"Oh," Kristy blushed. "But then shouldn't the baby fro normally?"

"I guess what happened to you is affecting the baby, too," Kat said. "Hmm, Bethy must've had known you were pregnant; its why they turned you. You two need to leave this place, or you'll be putting everyone in danger."

"What about your heart?" Kristy said. "We need to help you."

"No," Kat said. "You can't help me if your death. If you two leave, they'll only go after you two, I hope. I'll stay here to wait for my niece, and Andre will stay too. No one else can go with you."

Kristy sighed. "Okay, but for how long?"

"Until the baby is born," Kat said. "Hopefully, by then, I'll be back to normal, and I'll come to find you to help you."

"I'll prepare food for you two," Marla said. "And some clothes for the baby, and I need to tell you some tips come."

Kristy followed Marla. "What tips?"

"Well, baby vampires are born with fangs," she said. "But once they no longer need to nourish, the fangs fall off, and later on, they'll grow again. And also, vampires can survive on both food and blood. You need to balance the meals, don't feed the baby too much blood or food."

"Okay," Kristy said. "I'll have a balanced meal."

"Never, ever, let the baby drink human blood," Marla said. "Once they get a taste, they can never get off it, and they turned bad, their eyes go red and will drain a human dry."

"Okay," Kristy said. "That sounds frightening."

"This goes for you too, Kristy," Marla said. "To avoid a situation like that, always drink blood. Then again, you're a lycan too, so; we don't know how your body will work. Either way, follow my tips."

"I will," Kristy said. "So, are you pregnant?"

"Hmm, no," Marla giggle. "Lyon and I want to wait until all of this madness is over, we don't want to bring a child into chaos, so we are going to wait, plus I want Elvin to be there for when I give birth."

Kristy smiled. "It'll be my first child, and I always imagine I would be married, but this is okay too because I'm with the man I love."

"And that's what most important," Marla said. "Look at me; I never thought I would find anyone; I always assume I would be alone, but then Lyon came along, and my whole world changed. He's such a great man. I love him so much."

"I can tell," Kristy said. "Lyon never seems to want to leave your side, aside from that day with Skyla's baby."

"That must've had been a difficult choice," Marla said. "To take me along, or just the baby, and he made the right choice, Sky, as more important."

Kristy smiled. "Well, I'd hate to leave, but I don't want anything to happen to you or Lyon. You two are family; it would make Elvin if something happened."

"I know," Marla said. "Please take care of Elvin, I know he's a hard head, but he's trying to his best to fix things."

"Don't worry," Kristy said. "I'll never leave his side, ever."

"Thank you," Marla said.

-

Elvin helped Kristy on to the wagon; this will be temporary until they find a safe place to hide. "Well, Lyon, take care of Marla and be careful."

"I should be telling you that," Lyon said. "But don't worry, Marla is safe with me."

"Oh," Marla hugged him. "Please be safe, Elvin, and remember, don't stress Kristy out, it's not good for the baby."

"I won't," Elvin said. "Take care," he kissed her head. "We should get going." He climbed on and sat beside Kristy. "Bye. We'll see you soon."

Elvin gripped the reins.

"Bye!" Kristy waved.

Elvin was a bit worried; he didn't know how to help Kristy when she gives birth. It won't matter he'll have to figure out or as Kristy. She's been helping out with deliveries all the time. She probably knows.

Kristy rests her head on his shoulder. "I never thought we would go through all of this, I mean look at me, I'm not the same anymore. What are we going to tell people, especially humans? You know how they are, they'll think I'm a witch and burn me on a stake."

"Nothing like that will happen," he said. "We can pretend your blind, and I doubt we'll bump into anyone."

"If you say so," Kristy smiled.

Elvin smiled. "I'd wish Kat had come, but she needs to stay and help out, plus she can't be too far from her heart."

"Mhm," Kristy smiled.

"How are you feeling?" Elvin asked. "I mean, nothing is moving?"

"Nope," Kristy said. "The baby has been calm. Marla said the movements are when the baby has a growth. So every day, it'll happen."

"I see," Elvin smiled. "I still can't imagine you with a big belly; it's new to me. Sorry, I should've held back that day."

"I should've had back away," Kristy giggled. "But I didn't' because I like it," she whispers.

He groaned. "Wasn't it frighten?"

"No," she said. "Because I know you wouldn't hurt me, and I was right, though you do, grow a few inches." She bit her bottom lip.

"Ah," he chuckled. "Kristy, every day, I get to know you a little more. You're not shy around me anymore."

"No," she said. "Sometimes I'm shy when I meet someone new, but you'll know I'm not once you get to know me."

Elvin kissed her head. "Well, Kristy, hopefully, what occurred that night won't happen again. It was strange; I was in control for a while; it was an endless battle."

"You'll learn," Kristy said. "And now you have more reasons to fight; your parents are alive, you have a brother and a sister. Bob is going to be so happy once he finds out his sister is alive. But it'll be a short reunion."

"Why?" Elvin asked. "Is it that bad?"

"Yes," Kristy said. "Bob's condition has worsened, he can barely get out of bed, but he's holding on, and I don't for what."

"Maybe he wants to see all his children married," Elvin said. "Or once Bob sees that his sister is alive, he'll be able to go, peacefully. But whatever the reason, Bob will hold on."

"Yes," she smiled.

Elvin looked up ahead; wherever they go, he will keep Kristy safe and their unborn baby.
