Elvin covers Zoey and her babies. "Rest, we'll find another place to camp."

"Okay," Zoey curled around her babies.

"Cute," Kristy sat back as well.

"Off we go," Elvin urge the horse on back to the road.

He didn't know where to go next, but it must be a safe place for Kristy to give birth and for Zoey and her babies to rest.

"So, Zoey," he sighed. "Where is Kat's power? Are you going to die because of it?"

"No," she said. "The power is on me, not in me," she yawned. "I can't tell you where it is, but I assure you it's safe. And when the time is right, Kat will call upon it, and then things will get serious."

"And what will you do after?" Kristy asked. "That man isn't going to stop looking for you."

"I don't know," she said. "Kat wants me to live my own life, that I was free to do as I please, but I'm not sure, all my life Kat has been my pillar."

"You have three new pillars," Kristy said. "You can't stay in the past, move forward, do it for your babies. We can help you find a home to settle, but after all of this over."

"Thank you," Zoey said.

Elvin gripped the reins. "Someone is following us; you may want to hold on, in case we need to make a run for it."

"Okay," Kristy said.

Elvin sniffs the air. "Damn it, there Bethy's goons; they found us, hold on tightly."

Elvin urges the horse to go faster; that's when the goons came out from their hiding spot. He cursed and kept his eyes on the road.

One of them jumped onto the back of the wagon, and Kristy kicked him in the face. And he fell out. "I shouldn't be doing any of this, but it needs to happen."

Elvin gripped the reins; he needs to take them out before they go back and tell Bethy about Kristy's belly, or that they fond Kat's powers. Unless Bethy already knows, either way, it's always good to take precautions. "Kristy, come here and take over, keep going and don't stop, I have to take them out before they go to Bethy, in case she doesn't know anything about you or Zoey."

"Okay," Kristy climbed over and sat, taking the reins. "Hey, be careful, I can sense they are werewolves."

"I'll be okay," he kissed her. "Go, I'll catch up in a bit. Can you handle this?"

"Duh," she smiled. "Your forgetting where I was born."

"Right, stupid question," he kissed her again. "See you soon," he jumped off and ran over to the two werewolves.

"Get out of the way, traitor," the bigger one said. "Son, go after the wagon, this won't take long, the traitor dies today."

Elvin growled and launched himself at the son, but the father tackles him. He hopes Kristy can handle that one. These two are both loyal to their leader. "You will not defeat me, I'll crush you, and then I'll go after your son; I haven't forgotten what you did to me the first time I join."

"We were only testing you," he laughed. "And that bitch I going to get shredded."

"Don't you know," Elvin grinned. "Bethy wants her alive, and if you kill her, imagine what Bethy will do to you and your fucking son!" Elvin shifted and bit into his shoulder, ripping a chunk of his skin.

"Ah!" He punched him. "I'm going to enjoy killing you, Elvin!"

"I learned a few things about who I am," Elvin growled. "And one of them is that I'm the rightful Alpha, and I will take my place."

"You Alpha?" He laughed. "Not even in your dreams are you Alpha, you nothing but a freak accident, they should've had killed you the moment you were born."

"I'll prove to you that I'm the Alpha," Elvin laughed. "Kneel."

"I don't kneel for traitors!" He growled.

Elvin growled. "Kneel!"

"Never!" He yelled. "Ah."

Elvin could see the obediences in his eyes. He was trying to resist, but Elvin could tell he will have to kneel.

"What is happening?" He asked. "No," he knelt.

Elvin shifted back and crouched down. "See, I told you, tell your leader that I'm coming for him, and he will pay for everything he has done. And everyone that is truly loyal will perish with him. But before you go, I'll leave you with a gift," Elvin gripped his head, and his hand shifted. "Stay still; this will hurt a bit."

"No, no!"

Kristy jumped, she heard the screams of pure agony coming from the direction where they came from, and she could tell those weren't Elvins screams. What is he doing to those men?

She doesn't even want to think about it.

"Kristy," Zoey placed something on her lap. "Take care of them; I'll keep the second distracted, go!" Zoey jumped off the wagon and ran toward the second man.

"Wait!" She yelled. "You're not supposed to be moving around too much; you just gave birth!"

"GO!" Zoey growled.

Kristy didn't choose but to go; she looked down at the three babies; they are too small to lose their mother. But they won't have a mother if she goes back, she'll only get in the way.

She dreaded leaving Zoey and Elvin behind, but she must keep going for her safety and the babies.

She kept moving, not stopping until she couldn't sense Elvin or Zoey. She hopes they are alright. "Well, it only us, five now." She looked around. "How long have we been on the road? It's almost dark; I need to find somewhere for us to rest."

Kristy found a farmhouse she could tell it's abandoned no signs of life. She urges the horse over. "Hello?" She carefully got off, holding the babies. "Hello, is anyone here?" She sniffs the air, no one. "Okay, we are staying here for the night." She grabbed a basket, where Marla had packed some food. It was empty now. "Okay little ones, this will be your bed for now." She stuffs a blanket and placed them inside and set them on the wagon. "Okay, buddy," she pats the horse. "Sorry about all of this, I'll find you some water and some hay." She removes the reins and everything else. "Don't runoff, please." She kissed his head.

She picked the basket up and looked around the farm, the horse following close behind. She found a water pump. "Please let it be water." She set the basket down and grabbed a bucket that was next to it. "Okay, here we go, wish me luck." She pumped, but on the fifth try, dirty water came out, but then it started to clear. "This thing is a bit rusty." She dumped the water and filled the bucket with clean water. "Here you go, buddy, I'll call you that, Buddy." She pats his neck. "Drink up."

She looked around. "Now, to set up for a campout."

Kristy found hay and fed them to Buddy; after that, she grabs the lantern from the back of the wagon and lit it up; she went inside the house and checked every room and made sure no one was hiding to scare her. "Phew, we are staying in the living room. Buddy, you are too big to come in, but you can stay on the porch." She pats his side. "Make a sound if someone is coming, we have three babies to take care off, okay?" He seemed to understand.

She went inside and sat down on the blankets. "Hey, it's okay," she held the three babies and cuddled them. "Your mommy will come soon, so get some sleep. I'm here to protect you." She jumped and rubbed her belly. "Goodness, this one felt so strange."

Kristy leaned against the wall and looked out the window; the moon is bright tonight. She wonders if Elvin and Zoey are okay.

"Let's get some sleep," she laid down and cuddled them.

She hopes Elvin and Zoey are okay.
