(Just a warning, this is the longest chapter I've ever written. It has an astounding 3,719 words!)
After the meeting, Kris and Susie split up in the Kingdom to find the other heroes. Even though, Susie had the address to find Lancer, Kris was taking a long shot.
Kris walked out the Castle. Kris could see all the good changes in the buildings and the people. A smile slowly formed on Kris's face. The streets were made from cobblestone, and the buildings were made of a solid wood material. In a way, it reminded him of his own town. He only hoped that no child had to grow up like he did. Or even go through the pain he had to. If a human barely handled it, noone could even comprehend a monster...
Kris walked down the path, the cheers of children echoing in his ears. He focused on where Jevil could possibly be. He wasn't paying attention to the people around him that were recognizing him. Hushed whispers surrounded the neighborhood. After a minute, a reindeer monster slowly walked behind him. They got the courage to tap Kris's shoulder.
?: Excuse me, sir.
Kris turned around to see a small girl in front of him.
K: Yes?
?: Y-you're Kris, right?
K: Yeah. That's me.
?: W-well, we all wanted to say, we appreciate what you did for us.
The monsters around him stood tall and straight. The mother of the monster came over to him.
M: We really are happy for what you've done for us.
K: I didn't think anyone remembered.
M: Nonsense! Come over. We're having a picnic, and we wouldn't hesitate to tag you along!
K: Well...
Kris thought about this for a moment. While the mission did mean alot to him, he still wanted to go with the family...
K: I suppose it wouldn't hurt to come with..
M: Excellent! Come along, Elle!
E: Ok, mom!
Kris then took a small moment to remember. He had a reindeer friend.
He Still Does
Kris followed the girl down the street. Kris analyzed the neighborhood, the grass was a green-blue color, and the roads of cobblestone were a dark grey ash color. Kris thought, "Ralsei didn't do a bad job, rerenovating the city."
M: We all worked hard to help our king rebuild.
K: How long has it taken?
M: 3 days, I believe.
Kris did remember that the timezones in the worlds were the same.
E: We all were waiting for when you'd come back. We were all planning a town picnic!
K: Heh. Maybe when things go back to normal.
M: I hope you don't mind, but why did you come back?
K: At first, it was to visit. Then, we got news about Leonidus. We'll try our best to stop the threat.
The mother gave a smile. Kris saw that it was smile of sadness and of hope. Whatever it took, Kris would stop Leonidus, bring peace back, and hopefully come back to Toriel's cinnamon butterscotch pie.
The three took a left turn between two houses and found themselves a hill, where a cloth layed flat at the top. They climbed the hill, and sat down on the cloth. The mother pulled out a hand basket from behind her and unloaded it. Kris didn't know most of these foods, but he was hungry, and he cared about the two.
