Falling.
Falling.
A stab in Ziva's stomach. Apple trees. Thousand same voices.
Falling.
Falling.
Red and grey and cold.
Golden eyes. Warmth. A warning.
„Be careful."
A safe, cold grip pulling her up or down or sideways, she could not tell. She didn't fall anymore. It felt like flying.
Blood on her fingertips. A stab in her stomach. Golden apples. Golden eyes.
Heat.
Tessa woke up, not able to breathe anymore. A click in her mind and her hands moved in ways she didn't recognize. Air filled her lungs.
What was happening? She tried to push her thoughts away, but it didn't work. It was too much to ignore it. She needed to get it out of her system. And what better way of doing so than walking through her living room and babbling it all out was there?
„So. Gods exist. And time travel, and teleporting. And clones. Aliens and different realities and stones that can manipulate people. That's fine. Totally, I'm so alright with that, really.", Tessa said, looking at her friend who was listening attentively.
This was fine. Really. She was just realizing what happened throughout the last days, all of it at once. She was not freaking out. No, she was just getting used to it.
Everything was great.
Still frantically running through her living room, she continued to ramble more to herself than to her friend.
„Oh. And did I mention magic? Yeah. Like 'Oh look, I can turn into a snake haha, cool, right?' kind of magic. And mind reading. Or mind talking? I can't even name it. Great, yeah. Stuff just appears and disappears, puff, just like that.", Tessa laughed hysterically, wildly gesturing with her hands.
Her friend eyed Tessa skeptically. What was the matter with her? Was she going crazy? But she knew better than to interrupt her.
„And there's a rainbow bridge that connects everything or something like that, I can't remember. A man with golden eyes and a sword sits there and he sees everything. Every single thing. Golden eyes... Hm. The bridge is called Bifrost. The man is called Heimdall. Do you think he can see us now, too?"
Tessa looked up at the ceiling, squinting her eyes.
„Hey. Heimdall or whatever your name is. You're a creep. Stalking people is not cool, really not cool...", her voice trailed off.
Tessa picked her friend up, slowly stroking Wendy's black fur. Nobody would ever be allowed to know all that. Her secrets were safe with Wendy though, she knew that.
„What do you think?", Tessa whispered in her cat's ear.
Wendy only snuggled closer to her and started purring, trying to calm her down a bit.
„Yes. I think so too.", Tessa agreed, angrily staring at her ceiling again, taking out her pocket knife and holding Wendy in her other arm.
The cat got comfortable and clawed herself into Tessa's hoodie to not fall in case of any movement she made.
Tessa still stared at the ceiling. Not knowing was the worst.
„Knock, knock, Heimdall. I am a friend of Loki. Hey, come on, I need you to send me a sign! HEIMDAAA-"
