Tessa stared at the open door Thor left behind.
It was her chance to finally get out of here, to leave these Avengers behind and live her life without a couple of angry heroes behind her.
Carefully she stood up, trying to put as less weight on her right leg, where a couple of inches over her hip the small stab wound started to itch again. It did not hurt though, so Tessa did not pay any attention to that.
She looked around in her small room, noticing a white drawer near the door, her hoodie on top of it.
After putting it on, she searched trough it, hoping her pocket knife was still in there and for once she felt like luck was on her side when her hand closed around the cold metal.
Slipping into her trainers with an anticipating smile, she went back to her bed, putting on the slippers Helen once left here.
Tessa peeked outside her room, scanning the area and when she saw nobody she silently went outside.
„Thor?", she asked, not too loud but loud enough for him to react if he was anywhere near.
He did not answer though, so she hoped he was gone by now. She needed to be careful, Tony probably was only waiting for an opportunity to distrust her.
If she managed to flee, that was not a problem, but she had no idea where she actually was, how far away the next people lived or if there was any possibility of running away fast enough for him to not catch her.
He had these suits, he could fly with them and Tessa needed to be sure he was not anywhere near if she wanted to escape. Actually, nobody was allowed to be here.
„Tony? Helen? Anybody?", Tessa asked, a little louder that time, but there was no answer.
It was too silent.
Normally there were lots of people here, or at least someone all the time. That suddenly nobody was here anymore seemed strange and made her a little wary.
She went on, as silent as possible and tried to find a way out, but she was basically going down one corridor after the other, all of them empty, white and with no windows whatsoever.
Another corridor, and another and Tessa started wondering if she was actually running around in a circle, always crossing the same halls over and over again.
She was wandering around for about twenty minutes, when her wound started to hurt.
Ignoring it, Tessa went on, absentmindely clutching her pocket knife, when the strange sensation of being observed overcame her. Fighting the urge to turn around, she started to walk slower.
„Tony?", she asked again, not directing her call in any specific direction.
She was being followed, she swore she could even hear footsteps behind her, but if she looked over her shoulder now, whoever was behind her, might got suspicious, so Tessa just decided to walk on, every now and again calling for Tony.
The steps only came closer, and when someone grabbed her shoulder, she immediately turned around, pressing her chaser against the nearest wall, her pocket knife on his throat.
He looked surprised, but not scared and Tessa squinted her eyes at him, contemplating to just slice his throat open and run away afterwards.
He saw her, and she would not let this guy stand in the way of her escape. She did worse things for less, she needed to get out and back home, she only had this one chance.
