We walked back to the Curtis house, so all the boys could get ready for the rumble. I kind of stood around while the boys rowled each other up. When they were about to leave, I walked over to Two-bit and gave him a kiss.
"Don't get hurt to bad," I say while in a hug with him.
"Believe me, baby, I won't," He smirked and ran outside with the other boys. I walked into the kitchen to get a drink because I could still taste the beer that Two-bit was drinking. After a while of just sitting around waiting, the boys came back. They were all happy, so I assumed they won. Two-bit walked into my room where I was sitting waiting. He hugged me smiling.
"We won," He said sort of enthusiastically.
"Good, but you still have bruises all over your face," I say smiling. He sits down on the bed with me VERY close. I caress the bruise that is right on his forehead, but he moves my hand away slowly. He leans in closer to me and embraces me in a kiss. It soon turns into a makeout session until I notice the door is open. I stop, so he stops too.
"Why'd you stop?" He asks.
"The door's open, and there are other people in this house. I don't want them to think something is going on in here," I say smiling.
"Well why don't we just shut the door?"
Because then they will know something is going on in here."
"You have a point. Well, whatever, we had enough I guess."
He seemed pissed off that we had stopped, but we kind of had to. I heard the front door open, and Pony's voice was cracking with every word he said. He told them that Johnny's dead, and Dally ran away. I knew this wasn't good because anything could happen with Dally in this state. I walk out to the living room a few minutes after Two-bit does. The phone rings, and Steve answers it. Steve passes the phone to Darry. Darry answers, and it's Dally. Darry told us Dally was headed to the park, and I took a sprint out the front door. My shoes were still in the house, and my feet were getting cut open. I didn't care. I could hear the boys behind me telling me to slow down, but I was going to try to save my brother. He is my everything, and I can't lose my everything again like I did in New York. I made it to the park right as Dally and the cops did. I watched as the cops shot ....one ....two
....three. Dally dropped and fell down the hill. By this time, I was already balling my eyes out. I ran to him and the last word he said was Pony. I was still balling my eyes out so much that I could barely even see. The boys got there screaming at the cops. I was sitting right beside his lifeless body. One of the cops told me to move away from the body, but I couldn't move. I didn't want to move. I wasn't leaving my only brother laying there, dead."Ma'am please step away from the body," the cop said. I wasn't moving, "Ma'am please. Step away from the body before we have to remove you ourselves."
I pick up the gun that Dally was holding.
"Sophie, no!" The boys yell from across the street.
I hold the gun up to the cop and say, "Make me."
He pulls his gun out of his pocket and points it right at me.
"I'm going to give you three seconds to put the gun down."
"Or what?"
"Or I will shoot. One...... two...... three......
