Shadow did try to follow, but of course I caught him. After that, we went really fast so he couldn't catch us. He could only teleport a mile and a half, as it turned out. And he had to rest at least ten seconds before teleporting again. So we were away from him in a matter of minutes.

"Rain, um, turn left. We're going to the place you guys took me after Zip was taken away." I inwardly winced. It was still so painful. Zip scooted towards me and placed a tiny hand on my shoulder. I smiled and looked at her.

Rain nodded and moved her hand a little. The cloud swerved. Within the next half an hour, we slowly descended, landing, almost, gracefully on the ground. Only Zip fell down, but quickly got up and started running in circles around the camp, scouting. A puff of dust lifted up behind her feet. "So, anything?" I asked when she was done. She shook her head and stretched her arms. I smiled. "Feel good to move?"

"You have no idea," she responded.

"They're playing with us," Ivy said suddenly.

I turned to her. "What?"

"They're picking us off, one by one. And trying to recruit us."

I realized she was right. "Then that means only you, me, and Rain are left." They all looked at me. "We have to be on red alert. And no matter what happens, that is, if they get you, don't listen to them. At all. Cover your ears and start screaming for all I care. Just don't listen to them."

They nodded, and I smiled, but I really was worried. Also, I was thinking way too much about our newfound powers. Mine, to see the future. Ivy, to heal. Shadow, to teleport.

"Me, to read minds," someone murmured. I bolted up, and a guilty looking Zip was staring at me, sheepish.

"You read minds?" I shrieked. She nodded. "Since when?"

"Um, like a day ago. Well, whenever they took me. That's when it started. It was scary at first, all those thoughts. But then it was fine, and I realized my new powers." Everyone gaped at her. She sighed. "Obviously, Rain, I am not lying. Owl, you're extra power will come, so really it is fair. Ivy, don't be jealous! And Bookie, um, wow. You're head is a jumble of calculations and stuff that I don't understand."

"Great," I mumbled. "She'll be able to see my visions now." They all laughed, and I scowled.

A moose suddenly walked out of the bushes, ears pricked. I stood, ready to fight. "Wait," Owl said. "It's not Robo."

I relaxed slightly. "What's it want?"

The moose made a huffing sound, followed by a bugling sound. "There's are some Robo-Animals around. He said they seem unnatural, so they must be Robo."

I tensed and slowly made a circle. "Those BJs are at it again," Ivy mumbled.

"Who's it gonna be this time?" Rain said, anger clear in her voice. "We know why you're here!" She yelled. "And we don't care that you need us in your sick and twisted army of dummies! So go away!" Rustling was heard, and a Robo-Wolf stepped out of the bushes, eyes glowing red.

"Great," I mumbled, tired of the Black Jackets. The wolf snarled, and lunged, but the moose lowered its head and impaled the robotic beast in the ribs. It crackled, and the energy died. The eyes went dim. The moose bugled again and ran off into the forest.

"I am so tired of them!" Rain said in a voice higher than usual. We all burst out laughing, for she had sounded like a chipmunk. "What?" She asked, sending us all into another fit.

The story of my life.
