I nodded to the Black Jacket leader. He nodded back. I bounced up and down, excited. I already felt as if I were a billion people, animals, and inanimate objects melted together. "Can I just try it out before I go?" I asked him.

"Sure, you have time."

I let out a little squeal and thought the traits of a desk- inanimate object first. I few seconds later, I was a plain, brown desk, sitting in the grass. I didn't know where my eyes were, or how I could hear and smell, but I did. I couldn't talk, though.

"Try a cheetah. That will get you the first three miles on your trip. Then rest a few minutes and do it again."

I morphed into the spotted cat, and felt sleek and quick. I chirped to his Blackness and went back to myself. "Now," he said. "We must put many cuts and bruises on you, as if you fought to get out." I nodded, even though it would be painful. "I will put them on, and I will make them painless."

"Thanks," I murmured. He opened his hand and I felt my skin bruise and slice open, though no blood spilled and it didn't hurt.

"Now go, and remember to come on your own free will with your friends."

I nodded and shifted into the cheetah again. "Oh, and Bookie?" I turned back to him. "The world is ending."

I was shocked. His deep voice was the same as the one when we first escaped, that overtook our minds. It had been him. I turned back towards where he said the gang was and ran, going faster than I ever had.

I ran for a while, then rested, then ran, then rested. Then I closed my eyes and saw my friends were close, walking through the forest, unsure of where they were really going. I phased into myself and screamed and fell.

"What was that?" Zip yelled to the others. "Wait, I'm getting thoughts." She paused, and I panicked until I remember His Blackness had blocked those thoughts from her. "B-Bookie! They're from Bookie! Quick, this way."

They crashed through the forest, and Zip reached my limp body first. "Bookie!" She screamed. "It's really her!"

The others followed a moment later, and gasped when they saw me. My name was called several times, and I groggily opened my eyes, acting confused. "W-what? Is that you guys?" I shot up. "Oh my god! I found you!"

"Bookie, where have you been?"

"Bookie, are you okay?"

"You look terrible?"

"What did they do?"

"S-stop," I mumbled. "Let's sit down." We all sat. "And let me tell you." I took a shaky breath. "They came at night, when we were all sleeping. They gagged me-" here I sobbed- "and had me walk by myself through the forest. They were on strange floating motorcycles that didn't make noise- so their scents and trails wouldn't be there. They made me go into the store and buy the clothes- so you guys thought I had left on my own. Then they made their motorcycles go high, and I had to call a cab. When we got there, they took me to the High and Mighty Royal Black Jacket, and-"

"Who's that?" Ivy, or Emily, asked me.

"The BJ leader. Anyways, he told me to call him His Blackness. I did, and he said to me in a deep voice, 'I want you and your friends to come on your own free will. And if he gave me a new power and told us our names- which he did."

"WHAT?!" five voices screamed at me.

"Can you tell us what they are?" Rain asked.

I smiled weakly. "Your name is Gwen."

She gasped and stepped back, slightly shocked. She nodded. I turned to Ivy. "Your name is Emily." She took a deep breath and put her hands on her hips, looking up and letting out a sigh. I then turned to Zip. "Your Isabelle. Shadow, your name is Jake, and Owl is Charlie."

They all looked shocked. And I nodded. "His Blackness gave me to power to be anything, anything at all. Inanimate, alive, elements, plants."

They all stared at me, shocked.

"Guys," I said with a determined voice. "We have to defeat him."

"Who?"

"We have to stop His Blackness. Right now. I know where he is. And he has our parents, too."

"They have them?" Owl asked, dumbfounded.

"Yes. So now let's go and get them. Right now."

They looked to me. Ivy shrugged. "Okay, let's do it."
