Chapter 9 - Perrie's POV

I watch as Jade breaks down. But I can't hear anything. How could someone do that to my baby girl? She doesn't deserve that. No one does. "I-I don't know why anyone would do that to you" I whisper barely knowing what I'm saying. Jade cries silently and i watch her shoulders rise and fall as she tries to breathe normally. "Hey sh sh sh it's okay baba" I whisper carefully pulling her onto my lap and playing with her hair gently. "Pez?" She mumbles, sounding shocked. "Yeah Jadey" i answer. "Why haven't you run? Why are you still here?" She starts to ramble. "I'm here because I love you baby. And nothing is gonna change that" Jade relaxes a little and slowly calms down a little. I braid her hair gently and let her calm down until she's ready to talk. She shifts several times and whispers "do we need to talk about this more?" before curling up in a ball. "No sweetheart, not if you don't want to" i whisper pulling her even closer to me and hugging her protectively. I'd heard enough about the subject and I knew if I asked more questions this conversation would never end. "Jadey?" I whisper quietly, not wanting to alarm her. She looks up at me and tilts her head in confusion. "Y'know I'm always gonna love you right? No matter what you tell me I'm always gonna love you and be here for you". Jade blushes and tries to hide behind her hair, forgetting that I've braided most of it so it's not a fantastic shield anymore. I poke my head through a gap and she giggles softly and kisses my nose. I giggle quietly and just for that moment, it feels like nothing can stop us, like we're alone in this world and nothing and no one can hurt us. It's peaceful, it's happy, it's heaven. But it doesn't last...
