Realization washed over you in a harsh wave of emotions. The reason you had been so down and scared, wasn't just because you were scared of being left in the middle of nowhere again.

It was because of what was running through your head when you were in the backseat of your grandparents car. In the mix of fear and pleading to go home, your mind was filled with the words, 'What if I never see TaeTae again. What if I'm gone too long and he's not there anymore.'

Nothing scared you more than the thought of him not being in your life. He became such a big part of it. Not only did he cause you some tears and heartache, but he's also slowly trying to make up for it. Whether it be consciously or unconsciously.

He became a person who meant a lot to you, a part of your life that made it tolerable, along with your other friends. You felt as though there was more to it, however.

The need for him to always be next to you, made you think maybe it could be more than a simple feeling of friendship. What it could be, you didn't know.

With this newfound information, as soon as your mother stopped the car in front of your house, you rushed out of the car, not even bothering to close the door in your impatience.

Your mother yelled your name as you dashed down the road, trying your hardest to remember the way to the place in your mind.

You knew it wasnt too far, as you had walked there before, but it had been so long ago and there were so many turns, not to mention it had been at night the last time. Everything looked different in the daylight.

It wasn't until a familiar street name appeared that you began to slow down. Your breathing was heavy as you walked to the walk way. Your steps echoing through the empty street as you approached the peeling paint of the old apartment building door.

You checked your cellphone, which has been close to falling out of your coat pocket, and checked the time. It had taken you longer to get here than you realized, and you hoped the person would be home, and not at work.

You were about to press the buzzer to get the door open, when and elderly woman exited the building, allowing you to slip in quickly and run up the stairs.

You got to the familiar door, and stood there for a moment. You heard laughing from inside, and smiled lightly. Not only was the person yoh were looking for home, but the squeals of joy and deep laughter that followed warmed your heart in such a glorious way, you felt you could cry again.

With one last breath, you raised your hand and knocked thoroughly.

"One minute!" A voice called, footsteps jogging towards the door in a quick pace. You waited nervously, until the door opened slowly, a head peeking out in question, as if not wanting to open the door.

Before you had a chance to look correctly, the door closed and a voice yelled out, "Hung! It's my girlfriend, what do I do?!" The voice squealed. Your eyebrows raised and you couldn't help but smile.

"Your girlfriend? You have a girlf- Y/N?" Taehyung froze on the spot, not expecting to see you at his door. You bit your lip before quickly approaching the confused male, and enveloped him in a big hug.

You immediately felt at ease, and safe as you snuggled into his body, sniffling. He hugged back quickly. "What's wrong? Did something happen? Did your mom do something?" You shook your head.

"Don't ever leave my side, okay?" You croaked out, gripping him tighter.

Taehyung was shocked at the suddenly declaration, and patted your back, moving to stroke your hair in a way of comfort. "Of course I won't. You're my best friend."

You grinned as you placed your next card, a blue six. "Uno." You spoke, your brows wiggling. Taemi gasped, "No! I only have three cards!"

Junseok huffed, "I want to change the color." It was his turn. "What color should I do? What if its the color Y/N/N has left?" Taehyung shook his head, "I have a feeling her card is anything but blue, keep it blue."

Junseok nodded, "Okay, I'll put this down instead." He placed down a blue eight. Taehyung goes next and places down a blue zero.

Lastly its Taemi's turn. "Sorry! I only have a yellow zero!" She cries, placing it on the pile.

Everyone paused for a moment, and looks at you, waiting for your next move. You decide to message around and made an action as if you were going to pick up a card, but instead slammed down the red one, yelling. "I win again!"

The three siblings groan loudly as you wiggle in your seat, laughing gleefully. You glance at Taehyung who is pouting at you, and giggle. "Don't worry, TaeTae. Maybe next.time you'll win!"

He smiles softly at your encouragement and nods, "It would be nice, but I think you're just a problem at this game. There is no beating you."

You smile, proud of your skills. "You're right, I'm just too good." The younger two of the Kim siblings grumble as they both stand and leave the living room to do their own thing.

You giggle yet again as you begin to pick up the cards with Taehyung. You take your time to flip them all around, making sure they're all the right way, before handing them to your friend.

Taehyung glances at you for a bit, slowly putting the deck together, before he speaks again. "Want to tell me why you were so upset today?" He asked, look wary. You looked at him and shrugged, "Don' know. Big Y/N tried to figure it out, but all it did was made her mad. That's why little Y/N is here now."

Taehyung sighed and patted your head, "Well, make sure big Y/N knows, that everything will be okay, and I'll always be by her side, okay?" You nodded happily, smiling brightly at Taehyung.

But sadly, you would soon find out, that no matter how many times he promised to stay with you, sometimes things would get in the way.

Next chapter is probably going to be dramatic lol, but like when isn't this story dramatic??
