You and the twins were walking, silence stretching around you in a whisper of awkwardness. Junseok was staring you down, more than usual for the love-struck boy. Taemi noticed this after a little while, and began to do the same.
You were nervous because you knew how horrible you were at hiding your emotions, and I'm sure they noticed the drastic change in your attitude from the morning. You went from a clingy, childish mess, to a quiet, fidgety adult.
Taemi was the first to speak, "Do you have multiple personalities?" You stopped walking and blinked at the girl, "W-What? Multiple personalities? Taemi that's ridiculous." Junseok nodded, "Yeah, it's obvious Noona has bipolar disorder. She wouldn't remember us if she was in a different personality right now."
You shook your head, "Now, that's not entirely true, the condition is different for every-"
"No! I'm sure of it! She has..did? Yeah, she has did!" Taemi explained. Junseok rolled his eyes at his sister, "You dumby! It's pronounced as D.I.D. not did! And I'm telling you, it's Bipolar Disorder!" He responded.
The two went back and forth, not allowing you to give your input on the subject. It went on for a few minutes, before you stepped in again, "Enough! I don't have D.I.D.!" Junseok began to smirk,"Nor do I have Bipolar Disorder!" You finalized.
You huffed, placing your hands on your hips, and Tannie sat by your feet. "Guys, I have a condition, that much is true, but it's nothing as extreme as those two. It won't cause me to get violent like bad cases of Bipolar Disorder, and I don't have more than one personality like D.I.D. I just kind of...switch? Between maturity?"
You realized you weren't too familiar on your condition yourself, as when you visited your therapist, you talked more about feelings. You made a mental note to question the doctor at your next meeting.
They both pouted, before Taemi spoke up again, "Eonnie, why are you so nervous? You've been sweating really badly since you picked us up, and your eyes are shaking."
Junseok stared you down for a moment, before sighing, "Hyung..he isn't at work, is he?" He asked, surprising you, Taemi didn't look surprised though. You looked between them in shock, "How..?"
Taemi bit her lip, "Oppa talked to us about this before. He told us there was a chance that something bad could happen, and he'd be taken. He told us that if something did go wrong, not to panic, and to go straight to Jinnie Oppa."
You tilted your head, "Jinnie? Seokjin?" The twins nodded. "How do you know Jin?" Junseok gave you a weird look, "Noona, he's our cousin. His mom was our dad's sister."
Your mouth opened in surprise as you took in the information. You weren't very surprised, though. You noticed the knowing glances and silent conversations between the two, and how they seemed oddly closer to each other than the rest of your friends group.
"Well, you learn something new every day, I suppose. Well then let me text Jin." You pulled out your phone and did exactly that.
--------
"It was really smart of Tae to think ahead like this." Seokjin whispered to you, watching as the twins sat at the coffee table in the living room doing their homework.
You nooded in agreement. "It seems like he was expecting it, but even still the look of fear on his face, I won't be able to forget it."
Seokjin looked over at you sadly, "I'm sorry you had to be there for that." You shook your head, "I'm not. Sure, it broke my heart, and scared me. But in the end, I was able to give him a few comforting words and reassurance before they took him."
The tall boy wrapped an arm around your shoulders, right as your phone beeped. You pulled the device out and checked the notification.
New message from Sana.
Sana: I talked to my mom. She said she's more than willing to help.
You: That's awesome! Tell her we're so thankful! I'll message the others and let them know, is there anything we have to do?
Sana: She said just be patient and take care of the twins. There's not much us kids can do. She said she has enough evidence to clear Taehyung's name for good, she just has to figure out a plan.
You: oh, Sana...I don't know if I'll be able to just sit and wait..
Sana: I know. I'm sorry. But don't worry, she said it won't take long. For now just try to distract yourself, and the twins.
You: Okay..Thanks again.
You sighed heavily and placed your phone on the coffee table, and flopped on to Seokjin's couch. The man raised an eyebrow, "Everything okay?"
You nodded and smiled, "Everything is great. Sana talked to her mom, she said she has it covered, we just need to sit back and wait." Seokjin smiled, "Than why the long face and loud sigh, kid?"
You pouted, "I don't want to sit back and just wait. I want to help." Seokjin sighed and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, patting lightly, "There, There. Think about it, you're helping by keeping the twins happy until everything is figured out."
You paused for a moment, and nodded, "You're right. It's the least I can do." You stood up and walked to where the two were sitting on the floor. "Are you almost done with your homework?" You asked.
Taemi looked up,"I finished a bit ago. I'm helping Junseok with math." She explained. You looked at the sheet they were staring at. Taemi spoke again, "I don't know what I'm doing."
You giggled and sat down across from them, and pointed to a problem. " let's look at this problem. 8(9+6) first, you'd distribute..."
(And we're going to stop the math there cause I'm dumb.)
"Now do you understand?" You asked. Junseok grinned, "Yes! Wow. If my teacher would have explained it like that, I would have gotten it the first time." Taemi giggled, "Your teacher doesn't know how to teach, all she does is talk about her worthless husband and kids."
You laughed and shook your head, "Well, heartless teachers and math aside, want to go get ice cream?" The twins screeched and nodded. They ran to the door and began to put on their coats and shoes, you and Seokjin following along.
I'm sorry for not updating :( I'm in beauty school from 9am-4:30pm and then go to work from 5pm-10pm so I've had like, zero time and energy.
