There was a strange atmosphere on the train back to Hogwarts, some students - mainly first years - were upset about leaving their families while others were excited to get back to their studies and see their friends again. Lina was a mix of both, she had thoroughly enjoyed her Christmas with the Weasley but couldn't help feeling sad she didn't get to spend any time with her uncle, it was would be another six months until she would see him.

On the train back she sat with the twins and lee Jordan, she kept a lookout for her Hufflepuff friends but they were nowhere to be seen. The students of Hogwarts arrived back the day before term started so if she didn't catch them tonight she would inevitably see them tomorrow.

The train pulled into the Hogwarts station the almost full moon illuminated against the dark sky, it reminded Lina of her first time stepping out onto the platform. They left their luggage on the train and made their way in carriages back up to the castle. All the students went immediately to the great hall for a welcome back dinner, students chatted with nothing but laughter echoing throughout the hall. Lina sat with Tonks and her friends and she ate until her stomach was full and laughed until her side hurt.

It wasn't until Lina was back in the common room that she was finally reunited with her friends.

"Eve!" Lina turned around, she was by the entrance of the girl's dormitory, the voice belonged to Cedric who was with Lucy and Danny standing in the centre of the common room by the warmth of the fire. Lina pushed through the crowd until she got to them, one by one pulling them into a hug.

"How was your Christmas's?" Lina asked the four settled on the floor wrapping themselves in blankets.

"My little brother is so annoying" Lucy answered rolling her eyes.

"This is why I'm glad I have an older brother," Danny said.

"Sorry me and Ced can't relate, only child life" the pair high fived.

"Didn't you spend Christmas with the Weasley's?" Lucy questioned.

"Yes but I don't live with them permanently it's still just me and my uncle mostly, the only daughter of Sirius Black and Marlene McKinnon thank you very much."

"How bad was your brother?" Cedric asked moving himself to get comfier.

"He wanted me to show him some magic, like from my wand, and when I explained that I couldn't he started crying and I got in trouble!"

"If your brother wants to see magic bring him round to ours."

"No way, my muggle family are going nowhere near proper magic they'd freak. It's bad enough when we have to go to Diagon Alley" Lucy shuddered thinking about the last trip there, her dad spoke just a little bit too loudly to the goblins of Gringotts and her brother started asking random wizards why they were wearing dressing gowns or had such long beards.
