"I definitely got the better present."
"Fuck off no you didn't."
"Shut up!" Lina snapped at the bickering Lucy and Danny "can you two go just one hour with no arguments for once" Lina giving them no time to apologize or dispute her claim, rose from her seat, shoving her wandless magic book in her trunk and went to leave but stopped and turned back to the pair "by the way if we're comparing I got the best present. Front row seats to the weird sister's concert" with that she left the compartment slamming the door behind her.
Lina took a deep breath when she was alone, she had been wrong to snap at the two but for hours she had had to put up with their constant bickering and without Cedric there she needed a break.
It really escaped her sometimes how just by his presence Cedric could keep her calm and how weird she felt was he wasn't around, Lina shook her head of the thought, Cedric was her best friend, of course, he could keep her calm, he was just her best boyfriend, her best friend boy and besides she had Oliver.
Oliver, she should probably go and find him, she hadn't written to him over the Christmas break and Merlin did she feel bad about that but as much as she should go find Oliver she didn't want to.
Instead, she went in search of the twins. Halfway down the train Lina suddenly stopped and cursed herself, she hadn't been looking in the compartments she had been looking down the aisles for Cedric.
"What the hell is wrong with me?" Lina asked herself and changed direction.
Eventually, she found the twins sitting in a compartment with Lee Jordan. She pushed the all-consuming thoughts of Cedric out of her head and entered sitting herself down next to Lee.
For the rest of the journey Lina stayed where she was, she enjoyed their company and with all the talks of upcoming pranks, they were perfect from keeping her mind off of a certain someone.
When the sky turned dark Lina decided to leave, she bid a cheery farewell as the train began to slow. She re-entered the compartment to an unusually quiet Danny and Lucy and a very disgruntled Cedric.
"Where have you been?" Cedric asked as the train slowed to a stop
"With the twins and Lee. Those two" Lina jabbed a finger at Danny and Lucy who were hastily leaving "were driving me crazy."
"They've been quiet since I got back" they got off the train onto the cold platform.
"Oh, that's probably because I snapped at them."
"You snapped at them?"
"Like I said they were driving me crazy" Cedric and Lina joined Danny and Lucy.
Cedric began to laugh but at the glare, Danny suddenly gave him he stopped.
