"Okay. You're either stalking him or you're secretly investigating him," Jensen concluded.
"What?" Bowen mumbled and swallowed what was in his mouth.
"How do you know what he does and doesn't eat?"
"I..." Bowen wasn't sure how to answer that. "I know magic." He immediately regretted saying those words once they emitted from his mouth. Oh, great. That doesn't sound stupid at all.
"I will have to agree." Jensen nodded.
"What? Seriously?" Bowen gawked in disbelief as his mouth hung open slightly.
"Of course," Jensen answered affirmatively.
Now, even Skye was staring at him, awaiting his explanation.
"You managed to get two handsome men to cook for you. If that's not magic, I don't know what it is."
Skye pressed his lips into a thin line to keep from laughing.
"Whatever." Bowen rolled his eyes and took another mouthful of the eggplant. "Mm..."
"So, are you two all set up?" Jensen asked. "Do you need help with anything?"
"My friend has a vacant room for us at his place. He got it ready even before Bowen agreed to partner with me," Skye informed. "We're going over there to set things up after we eat."
"I see."
"You should come with us," Bowen suggested. "Your free labor is always welcomed. Anyway, you're going to love Sion ge."
"I..." Skye gazed over at Bowen.
Noticing Skye's shocked expression, Bowen blinked. "What's wrong?"
"I don't remember mentioning my friend's name to you. How did you know that he's Sion?"
"You did mention it." Bowen threw him a nervous smile. "You said he was your snack buddy."
"Oh." Skye scratched the back of his head. "I must have forgotten."
"It's okay. Your mind is probably filled with design ideas at the moment, so you're not paying attention to other things."
"That could be it." Skye plastered on a smile. That is definitely not it. What's going on here?
I'm sorry ge. Bowen apologized in his thoughts. I really have to stop blurting things out loud by mistake, especially without Yulian around to remind me.
"Is your friend the only person helping you guys out?" Jensen inquired.
"No." Bowen shook his head. "You're going to help us and help yourself to Sion ge as well."
"How do you know that I'll be interested in helping?"
"Because," Bowen smirked, "you can never say no to me."
Jensen sighed in confirmation. "I must owe you from my last life."
"Jensen ge, I want seafood spaghetti for dinner." Bowen changed the subject abruptly.
"You're not even done with lunch. How are you already thinking about dinner?"
"It's good to think ahead. I might be too busy later to tell you what I want to eat."
