From the Beginning

Chapter 30: Sharing

            "J-John...?" Bailey muttered and finally caught sight of the ring on Yulian's finger. That ring... His eyes widened.

"What happened?" Skye asked.

"I think he's drunk," Bowen stated.

"What?" Sion was surprised. "Really?"

"It appears so," Jensen joined in.

"Let's get him to his room," Skye suggested.

"I'll carry him." Jensen got up and walked over to face his back to Yulian. "Help him up."

Bailey and Skye assisted Yulian up on Jensen's back.

"Bowen, could you come with me to help me open the door?" Jensen requested.

"Okay," Bowen answered.

"I need to use the restroom," Bailey said.

"Follow us. I'll show you where it is." Bowen instructed.

"All right." Bailey trailed alongside Jensen and Bowen.

"The bathroom is over there." Bowen pointed and Bailey went to use it.

Bowen opened the door for Jensen and switched on the light. He went to lift up the comforter so that Jensen could let Yulian down. Once Jensen plopped the alien down of his bed, Bowen voiced. "Jensen ge, I'll tuck him in. You go finish eating."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"All right then." Jensen turned to walk out.

Bowen removed Yulian's socks and pulled the comforter up for him. Hopefully, the alcohol won't weaken his powers and transform him back to his original self. With that, Bowen went to flip off the light and shut the door.

Bailey exited the bathroom and walked by Yulian's room. I have to take a better look at that ring. He twisted the knob and went inside. Flicking on the light, he approached the bed and saw Yulian's hand hanging off the bed. Leaning closer for a clearer look at the other's ring, he furrowed his brows in concentration. It really looks like mine.

"I miss you..." Yulian muttered in his drunken state.

"What?" Bailey listened carefully and his eyes rounded.

"I miss you, Bailey..."

"What did you say?"

"Why are the lights on?" Bowen came back to see what was taking Bailey so long and peeked in from the door.

Bailey promptly straightened up and looked at Bowen. "I heard him mumbling something when I walked by the room. I thought he needed assistance, so I came in." He made up in a panic.

"Really?" Bowen hurried over to make sure that Yulian didn't say anything that he shouldn't. "John ge, are you okay?"

"Since you're here, I'll go back outside," Bailey uttered.

"Okay. Don't worry. I'll take care of my cousin." Bowen chuckled nervously and quickly went to shut the door once Bailey stepped out.

Bailey found it strange that Bowen locked the door. Is Bowen hiding something from me? John misses me? Why would he say that? Did I hear it wrong?
