From the Beginning

Chapter 18: Jump

            After their presentation, Skye and Bowen started gathering their things in the conference room. Kido and Bailey got up from their seats and went to have a talk with them.

"That was a great presentation." Kido extended a hand to shake each of their hands. "My brother, Bailey will continue to work with your team to sketch out the details."

"All right," Skye answered.

"It's nice to meet the two of you in person." Bailey also shook their hands. "I look forward to working with you. I'm anticipating the finish product."

"If you need a workstation here in our building, my assistant, Ben can set up a room for your team," Kido offered.

"We already have a workroom at my partner, Sion's place. He couldn't make it today, because he's feeling under the weather. Thank you for your offer though."

"I see," Kido stated. "If you need anything, ask Ben or Bailey for assistance."

"We will." Skye smiled.

"I'm going to go use the washroom," Bowen notified prior to leaving the room.

"Is it all right if I visit your workroom sometimes?" Bailey brought up.

"I'm sure Sion won't mind," Skye responded. "Let's exchange numbers and I'll text you the address."

"Sure. That would be great." Bailey reached into his pocket and realized that he didn't have his cell phone with him. "I must have left my phone at home."

"It's okay. Give me your number and I'll text the information to you. You could check your phone when you get home." Skye handed his phone to Bailey so that he could enter his number.

"Here you go." Bailey returned the phone to Skye.

"Awesome." Skye smiled. "We're heading to the workroom now. Would you like to join us? We could order dinner and have a meal together."

"Actually, I already have dinner plans with someone tonight," Bailey informed. "Sorry."

Just when he said that, a man came rushing into the conference room. "Bailey!"

Bailey turned to look and gasped. "W-White, what are you doing here?"

"You forgot your cell phone at home." Yulian handed it to Bailey.

"You didn't have to bring it all the way here."

"I didn't want you to miss any important calls."

"Thank you." Bailey smiled warmly at Yulian.

"There's no need to thank me. I am your husband. We share a bed. It is my duty to take care of you."

Bailey immediately clasped his hand over Yulian's mouth and sputtered. "D-Don't mind him. He likes to joke around. Haha!"

Yulian managed to free his mouth from Bailey's hand. "But...I was only telling the truth."

"You two are living together?" Kido inquired in surprise.

"Ge, it's not what it seems," Bailey explained to his older brother in a panic. "He's only sleeping on my bed with me. That is all. Nothing else is happening."

"There's no need to explain," Kido reassured. "Love is love no matter the gender. As long as you two feel the same way for each other, I'll support you."
