Naomi's POV
I woke up to the sound of my alarm, practically exploding my eardrum. "Ugh. This is why I never sleep with my phone next to me." I dragged myself out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. "Damn Naomi, you did good job." I said to myself as I played with my freshly long hair. Quickly, I showered, did my makeup, curled my hair and changed into a cute outfit. I hadn't dressed like this since sophmore year, it felt so strange.
My second alarm startled me. "Oops time to go." I took a small glance of myself in the mirror for the last time. "You can do this Nay."
Running down the stairs, I heard someone yell. "Damn, my baby sis doesn't look so baby anymore!" Josh said from the kitchen.
I rolled my eyes. "Thanks Josh."
"You're welcome squirt."
Jordan walked up to me. "You look...breathtaking !"
"Thanks Jordy." I gently smiled at him. "How's the hand, and the lip and everything feeling?"
"It's...painful, but nothing some ibuprofen can't fix so don't worry. You're going to be late, go on, go get your man."
I felt a warm sensation. "Alright! I'll see you this afternoon!" I took a pause. "Hey mom?"
"Yeah, honey?"
"Can I take the mercedes today?" I crossed my fingers. "Please!"
"She poked her head from the upstairs. "Not a scratch on it, or you're paying for it."
I grinned at Jordan. "Not a scratch I promise. Thank you, I love you!"
Rapidly I ran out the door and sped to school. Driving was so much better than walking, I was there in less than 5 minutes. I was so lucky to have found the perfect parking right up front. As I got out, I could hear the biker guys in the background.
"Hey check out the new girl." I rolled my eyes and looked back at them took off my sunglasses. "No way man, that's that Naomi chick."
Laughing to myself as I headed inside, this was going to be a good day.
Mena's POV
I switched up my books as I spoke to Will.
"Man you're such a chick magnet, if I punched another guy in front of everyone I'd be considered such an asshole. Nasim would probably kill me."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm not proud of it man, I just felt so angry... but I mean I guess it all worked out."
"What do you mean?"
I hesitated. "I sort of was on a date yesterday."
"What? With who?"
I grinned at Will. "That Nina girl."
"Damn boy, and she didn't get mad at the bloody outcome?"
"Nope, she was so sweet, and oddly very straight forward."
"How come?"
I got closer to Will as I whispered to him. "We've already kissed twice and I barely even know the girl."
"Well, I mean if you're happy thats what matters am I right?"
"Yeah... I think I'm finally moving on from Naomi." I said back to Will but noticed he wasn't paying attention. All I could notice was everyone staring and catcalling at someone behind me.
"Yo man, I don't mean to burst your bubble but I think she moved on before you."
I looked back at him confused. "What are you talking about?" Will turned me around.
My eyes widened as I saw her walk past me. "Is that...?"
"Yup."
"She looks so..."
"Hot? Yeah she does." I couldn't hide my angry expression. "I'm sorry man, but the chick looks good.
"What the hell happened to her?"
Will pat my back. "I hate to break it to you, but that's called the postbreak up, glow up. She a thriving single lady. So, you were saying?"
"Moved on..." I felt my heart drop a bit. "I'm moving on. In fact, someones waiting for me right now. I'll talk to you soon."
"Alright, see you then man." I walked away.
Naomi's POV
I walked to my locker and grabbed my things until I heard a gasp coming up from behind me. "What happened to you?" Nasim said in shock.
"What do you think?" I big my lip as I looked back at her.
"I think you look hot. Was the sex that good?"
I rolled my eyes. "I didn't have sex with him okay. It's not right. Plus we talked it over and he's helping me out. I mean, Mena almost killed him last night but yeah."
"Wait what do you mean?"
"What?"
"That Mena almost killed him?"
"Oh, that's a long story. Look the point is Mena's happy with this other girl and I'm done being stupid. So if he doesn't want me I'm done begging so I'm going to make him want me." I grinned at Nasim.
"Ooo I like the sound of that. But I think you're making him and everyone else want you." Nasim chuckled.
"Yeah I guess, but we can have a bit of fun with that. Theres a few hot guys here and there."
"I love the sound of that! So, when are we starting?"
"I already started, his face was priceless."
"Shit I hate always being late."
"Oh that's alright Will can tell you all about it, he was with Mena the whole time."
Nasim groaned. "Ugh guys and their guy talks. Everytime we go out he's texting his friends or we're double dating. It's not fun without you." She pouted.
"Well, get me a date with that cute guy Scott from the soccer team and I'm sure we can have a double date." I said to her as I took a glance back, made eyes at him and smiled.
"I don't think that will be necessary..."
"What do you mean?"
"Well he's coming over here right now."
"Shit how do I look?"
"Pretty just act natural." Nasim stood their with the awkwardest face. I sighed and looked back at Scott.
"Hey, Naomi is it?"
"This is she." I smiled to him.
"Oh well, nice to meet you I'm—"
"Scott right?"
"Scott, yes." He chuckled. "Look I was just wondering if you'd maybe like to go get ice cream or something."
"I would like that." I noticed Mena coming up from the corner of my eye.
"Alright, here's my number then. I'll see you around." He winked at me.
"Wait, heres mine..." I could feel myself getting nervous. "Just in case."
"Thanks." I grinned to Nasim as he walked away.
"Mena looked like he wanted to rip his head off." Nasim said to me as I turned to grab my back.
"To be honest, I knew he was there but I couldn't take my eyes off of that guy."
Nasim giggled. "Yeah he was really cute. But you know whats cuter, your perfect attendance record that's not going to be so perfect so let's go."
"Oh shoot, let's go."
I couldn't help but smile to myself. Good job Nay.
