Naomi's POV
I sat next to Mena as we all finished up dessert. Dinner was good as it was last times. His sister kind of intimidated me though but his dad was really nice. I looked at Mena who winked at me as he went to stand up. Clearing his throat he spoke up: "May I have everyones attention please?" Everyone sat up. "Well now that everyone has met Nay I want to make a very important announcement. Naomi is officially my girlfriend!"
Mena's parents eyes lit up as his sisters clapped in excitement. "Oh my gosh this is the best news. Welcome to the family Naomi!" His mom walked over to me and gave me a warm hug. I giggled and hugged her back.
"Thank you so much, all of you. You've all been extremely kind tonight and the food, everything, it was amazing."
"Any time sweetheart. You'll always be welcome here."
"Thank you so much."
"So, when do we get to meet your parents?" His dad chuckled.
"Dad, come on you're going to scare her off." One of his sisters rolled her eyes at him.
"Well I mean if you'd like that could definitely be arranged, maybe you guys can have dinner the night of Winter formal." I smiled at Mena hoping he got the hint.
"I think that sounds like a great idea." His other sister backed me up.
"Then it's settled, I'll talk to my mom, dinner's on us! I hope you guys like Indian food."
"Are you kidding? We love it, you know Dad over here had a bit of an acci—"
"Okay, I think that concludes tonights dinner." Mena interrupted his sister as he smiled awkwardly at me. "Wanna take a walk after we finish cleaning up?"
"Oh go ahead you two, we'll finish up over here."
"Are you sure mom?" Mena responded.
"Of course! Go on. It was nice seeing you Naomi, hope you swing by soon!"
"Nice seeing you too miss' M. It was very nice to meet all of you. Bye." Mena grabbed my hand as we said our goodbyes and walked out.
"So... that was interesting."
"What'd you mean I thought it went great!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, everyone was super chill. And it looks like fun having a big family like that." I giggled at Mena.
"I mean I just have one more sibling than you."
"Well yeah, but Josh was always doing his own thing so we didn't bond much growing up."
"Ahh I get it, so..."
"So... was I completely nuts or was your sister staring at my boobs the entire night?" I squinted my eyes at Mena confused.
"Um yeah, about that, the bra kind of messed up my plans when I got home. I had to tell my dad it was a joke and that Will brought it over. But Margarete is... lets just say she doesn't let things slide."
"Oh I see, I kinda just thought she swung for the other team you know."
"Oh my god no, Margo has a boyfriend, been with him for years. Actually I think he wants to propose soon!"
"Like a winter proposal? That is so cute, I've always loved that idea."
Mena smiled at me and grabbed my hand. "Good to know." Immediately I felt myself blushing.
"Stop! What if like our futures take weird turns? What will we do then?"
"They won't! You're all mine."
