Mena's POV

It's been a week and a half since it all happened. I've honestly never hated myself more in my life. I didn't mean to say what I said I was just so frustrated. Then again I knew Jordan was a good guy and he cared about her, but it scared me. What if he was good enough to be better than me?

I laid in my bed thinking about everything for the thousandth time. It all hurt way too much, but I guess life had to go on. I quickly got up and checked the time, "How is it five in the afternoon already?" I proceeded to take a quick shower and wash my hair. As soon as I finished I slipped on some boxers and a white t-shirt. I then put on my black pants, my black jacket and tried to tie my tie.

"Come on." I sighed in frustration. "This is so worthless." I yanked it out.

"Hey the tie didn't do anything to you." My dad chuckled at the door. "Come here."

"I'm sorry... I just, I want to look good tonight."

"That's fine, we've all had our tie struggles. What are your plans? Is Naomi going to be there?"

I grabbed the flower on my nightstand. "She was suppose to go with me. I don't know, maybe I should just stay home."

"Why don't you just talk to her Mena, I'm sure you can sort this out."

"I really can't dad. She wants... explanations. I can't give her that. She'll think I'm crazy." I let out a breath. "And the worst part is I don't know why. She was fine and all of a sudden she started asking all these questions..."

My dad's face turned pale. "Oh."

"What do you mean oh?"

"Son, I think I might know what's going on."

"What? How?"

"I didn't think she'd go on to ask questions."

"Dad... what did you do?"

"They night she brought you home I might've said something... I didn't know she'd put so much thought into it I—"

"You've got to be kidding me! All this time— you knew all this time and never once thought to mention it?"

"I'm so sorry!"

"You ruined my relationship dad, with the one person I love more than anything in this world."

"Mena calm down we'll fix this—"

"No, just leave me alone." I grabbed my phone and the flower I had for Naomi and ran out of my house on my way to hers. I really did owe her an explanation, more so now than ever. As I reached her house I saw her through her bedroom window. She wore a beautiful green dress and her hair up. I stood there for a few minutes before her eyes landed on me. Quickly I hid myself behind the bushes at her house. I couldn't ruin tonight for her...Once she stopped looking I quickly ran to her doorstep and left the red rose for her there. It's all I could do, even though I wanted to tell her everything, I couldn't bare the thought of ruining something else for her. "I love you..." I said, after I put the flower down and ran out of her house.

Naomi's POV

"So... what do you think?" I asked Nasim as I came out if the bathroom.

"I think you look incredible, wow."

"I think I'm going to puke." I said as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Relax it's going to be fun I promise." Nasim smiled at me. "I'm gonna go change I'll be right back." Nasim went into the bathroom while I stood watching myself in the mirror. I felt so nervous, I'd spent weeks of looking forward to tonight and now I couldn't even bare the thought of having to go and seeing him there. Getting closer to the mirror, I applied some more lipstick, but something caught my eye outside. I swore he was out there; quickly I turned around but there was no one there. I honestly felt a but stupid, was I seeing things?
